I bought it 2 years ago and I've never had a problem with it(I dropped it many times on asphalt-the metal case protects the screen-I also dropped it in water...no damage) You can root it very easy if you get bored of the look of the original ROM(I recommend REAPERrom-very fast and stable) All htc phones are worth buying.They are strong...If you buy it you'll love it!

my desire s is india version...
its very fast of battery draining & get hot when i use to games and watching video...
i want to try any version of rom of any country...
i going to use SuperCID to change my cid number...
which country stock rom is better with comes to battery draining.?

any suggestion.?

its a good phone for apps and games, little quiet for music and the screen is not very good in sunlight.

overall im happy. if you're looking for a cheap android phone, id go for this

Desire S is my first android phone. This phone is really intelligent and classic. It's turning a year already and still I have no plans of switching yet.

However, will it be upgraded to JB through Htcdev?
