I like my HTC Desire S...its a year and 6 months old now and still delivers as expected.
Well-balanced features, performance and battery life.

I got my DS a year ago, now running on ICS 4.0.4 (Custom Rom: ViperSaga) Fast and Smooth, can overlock to make it faster than ever, with dual swap to cache and data for extended ram (reduce lag)Can customize and Personalize the desire S without using any launcher, just sense 4.1.

may be a silly question but will this get jellybean?

with it having above the 512mb ram which htc said would be the benchmark for the jellybean update. and with other phones of similar spec getting the update surely an update would be a good step.

My Desire S will turn 2 this June and I LOVE my cell! At the time, it was the only phone in the Sub 25 k (Rs.) price bracket with a greater than 512MB RAM and hence my logical choice!!
The solid Aluminum case has taken many a beatings and has come out unphased!! The drops include an abrupt meeting with the Road while I was riding my bike!
The Gorilla Glass does well to protect the screen and after 2 yrs of rough abuse, has only 1 visible scratch to show!!
I recently updated my cell to ICS 4.1 (legally) and the 768 MB RAM is doing just fine!! No lag in using the cell or running the latest Apps!
The only negatives are the Camera & the battery, with the pictures appearing a bit blurred when transferred to the comp. Using 3G in India drains the battery faster, with a 5 to 6 hour life on heavy usage.
I would still recommend this cell today, as it is a VERY VALUE-FOR-Money cell!

mu android version is 2.3.5 and it seems like i can't update it to 4, every time i go online and check for updates it tells me that there are no updates available for your phone !!!
what should i do to update my android version please !?
