th3D, 21 Mar 2011So wer r the hype boys who was screaming for AMOLED now? I think even Galaxy S fanbois are sta... morelol you do know they only went to SLCD because samsung wouldnt give them anymore AMOLED panels for their phones right?.... some people
when is this phone getting released in india??!i think its a better phone than galaxy sl...regular official updates(gingerbread)plus huge developer community is must for power users like me..its the only reason i'll buy this over the more feature packed glxy sl
why its voting results is lower than desire while it has better hardware? i think it looks nice :)
So wer r the hype boys who was screaming for AMOLED now? I think even Galaxy S fanbois are starting to admit that SLCD is superior now. maybe they are getting tired of seeing blue where it should be white by now? =) Good move of HTC to not go with the AMOLED hype, ppl are finally beginning to recognize the superiority of SLCD
julianfa, 19 Mar 2011one very simple question... why is this phone rated lower than both the Desire and also the DH... moreratings are nothing to go by.You only have to look which fone has been top for months, the samsung wave.Dont get me wrong its a good phone, but better than a desire or a galaxy s ? . No way.
Dual core and NFC... Is it so necessary to have these features a smartphone? I laugh only by the fact that people demand these stuff
can it be that Desire S has GPRS 114 k and EDGE 560 k, when actual values are 32-48 k for GPRS and 384 k for EDGE ?
julianfa, 19 Mar 2011one very simple question... why is this phone rated lower than both the Desire and also the DH... moreI agree, Desire s might not have dual core or NFC or other not yet needed 'fancy' features but overall is a close to perfect package when you look for a superb
Anonymous, 16 Mar 2011I was hoping the desire s and desire hd would come out with actual buttons instead of the touc... morewhats so great about actual buttons? Its disturbing the work flow, when u sit and touch d screen to navigate and type, den u use very light touches, and den u will use the back or home/menu button, and suddenly you have to do a huge PRESS. That is so ouf of harmony when you are busy doing sumthing.
touch buttons was also the reason i preferred nokia 5530 over the 5800 with its physical buttons, same feeling across the board, more efficient
one very simple question... why is this phone rated lower than both the Desire and also the DHD? this phone is meant to be a better phone overall but yet has lower ratings...i think that people are rating on the basis of their disappointments and not o the basis of how good the phone really is! i really want an honest and mature answer :)

So most of you think that a Desire is actually more worth buying than a Desire S ?
the DLNA connection can be done wireless or we have to buy an adaptor (which is expensive!)
Is Htc wildfire S more facebook-friendly than Desire s? I mean with Desire s u can taq photos instantly and post them on fb etc? i didn't find any info about this anywhere
I was hoping the desire s and desire hd would come out with actual buttons instead of the touch pad down the bottom for the 'home, menu, back & search' buttons. Hence why I will be sticking to the desire. If htc bring out a good ole desire with extra camera and great design then I may very well upgrade. But until then, htc need to step back before they step forward.
Guess the harder they come the harder they fall lol! thought HTC were the next big thing in the smartphone arena but all phones announced at the Mobile World Congress 2011 have been so underwhelming.
As a user of the Original Desire I expected a whole lot more.
Nitin, 08 Mar 2011Guys, Let me know how to improve the battery performance of Desire mobile. It works for 4-5... moreNitin... try turning off the always-on mobile option in your settings (Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks). It made a world of difference for me in battery life.
an, 10 Mar 2011It is strange why HTC does not make their phones with HSDPA worldwide frequencies. I like t... moream with you on this... I also don't understand why HTC doesn't make phones with worldwide HSDPA frequencies. They instead release one for Europe and one for Americas like people from one continent don't go to the other ones
