I have recently purchased google G1. I want to know where to get the update for software like android 1.6 or android 2.1. also can anyone help me where to find new applications and games for this mobile.

had 3 phones and this is the worst experiance with problems (Crap)end of story

Hello,

I’m iPhone 2G user and I was thinking to get the HTC Dream, I have few inquires

Beside the design and the size it’s fine by me, but the OS Android I’m not familiar with, is it good comparing to iPhone Mac, iPhone lack a lot of features but I love the OS and the idea of applications.

One of the major points that I hate about the iPhone is the battery life, how is the HTC Dream battery life? Apps? Is the OS consider to be user friendly as the iPhone

At first when I first played with this phone I wasn't the biggest fan, mainly bc its too bulky. But after owning and using it for the last 2 mths now, i gotta say this is one of the best phones I've ever used and one to keep for a lil longer.

Pros:
- full of features for the price
- easy to use
- Google sync
- the apps
- customizable
- the white version looks sick
- nice ROM upgrade to 1.6
- good internet browsing

Cons:
- bulky and heavy
- crappy battery life
- some widgets take too long to load which causes slow down
- youtube and facebook apps suck
- if you get the white version, the keyboard is extremely hard to see when lit up in some situations!

i lock my phone and cannot remember the round pattern and the no. for emergency call i wright it down before then i lost the paper where i wrote it down

my htc is on reapirs after 2months of use and i was told i'd only get it back in feb.the battery is wack and the touch doesn't work and when i make calls it's written andriod is unavailable try again later.. so no calls recieved nor am i able to make any calls....

For all of you battling with battery life, there is an app that I use which suites my needs to save battery life. I don't need to be permanently connected to my data connection as I have a connection at work on my pc. Therefore I use APNdroid to turn it on/off as needed. My battery now lasts 2-3 days depending on my 3G/WiFi usage with moderate calling and smses! Not bad at all;-) Thought it may help some of you ;-)

THIS PHONE IS EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS IT IS... A DREAM...if you try and play around with your friends you'll see why i said so.. LADIES .. do you know there's an application that can make sure you know when you just about ready to have a BABY!!! Now come'on if theres one thing a married woman needs in her handbag then its a HTC DREAM ... YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS ,,, oh app is called my days ...
