htc hd2 has a screen defect. the wire that connects screen runs directly below the power button/hang up button. Pressing that button often wears out the wire and screen will stop working. Mine lasted 2 months.
Trying to replace the screen made the whole phone useless. Never buy this phone.

Installation of JellyBean 4.2.2 OS on HTC HD2 Procedure
1.Download HSPL and install it on your phone

HTC HD2 has been one of the most developer friendly devices for a long time now.
The smartphone was launched with Windows Mobile on board and later, the device was hacked to run everything from Android 4.1 Jelly Bean,Ubuntu to Windows 8 RT x86.
and now hacked to run Mozilla Firefox OS.
I found only some mobiles which can be upgraded change their platforms/OS.
Nokia N900 - comes with meamo OS. it can run android Gingerbread.
Nokia N9 and N950 - comes with Meego OS. At the end of this year can be upgraded to Sailfish OS.
these devices can run android too.
and
HTC HD2 lately joined in this but surpassed all these.
after release of the Sailfish OS, HTC HD2 may be hacked to run Sailfish OS.
