I mashed my phone and cracked the digital display without cracking the glass and when I call HTC they gave me the info to Fedex it to Texas to replace the screen under the warranty. And I don’t live, and have never been, to the US. I didn’t even buy it in the US. I bought it online out of the UK. (And I don’t live there either)

kat, 18 Nov 2010Thanks anthony.I did the hard reset. Then after I downloaded Co0kie Home tab 2.0 same problem ... moreThis is the official cookie web page
Read every thing. But if you too lazy, just jump to the section on “Requirements and compatibility”
kat, 18 Nov 2010Thanks anthony.I did the hard reset. Then after I downloaded Co0kie Home tab 2.0 same problem ... moreIf you installed cookie with out installing “.net 3.5 compact framework redistributed” that is your problem right there.
Only people that don’t have to install .net 3.5 are those with ROM version 3.14 and above or those that are using a cooked ROM that already had .net 3.5 built into it.
If you downloaded cookie from the authors web page. you would have seen that that .net 3.5 and CHTEditor with matching version as cookie are needed.

Marwa, 18 Nov 20101-after all , i prefer to have a phone of the ability to have 2 OS , as long as android works ... more1. If I am to grade on a curve with the Desire HD being a 10, then android on the HD2 can’t be given a perfect 10
I have only used one version so far, but this is my reason for saying this…
a. The still/video camera is not working in the version I am using.
b. this will never have as fast a reaction time, for Android on the HD2 as you can get on the Desire HD. The Desire HD has more RAM, its OS is running off of the ROM where as a HD2 is running android off the SD card. So data access time is only as fast as the “Class” SD you have in the phone.
c. Some programs on the market look to see what model phone you have and will not work on the HD2 because it is not listed as an Android Phone.
So if what you want is android, then buy the Desire HD
Only do what I did if you are someone that need windows and would like to use Android sometimes for the things you can’t get in winmo.
2 are you asking about the ROM or the ROMs? Or do you want me to go into all the detail I said I would if you asked?
3. If I called you a guy at any time before I’m sorry. But being a girl dose not change the price of cheese LOL. I’ll still talk to you the same way I talk to every one in here. Gender, race or religion means nothing to me.

Did you try the hard reset this way?
Take out the batter.
Put it back in
Hold the volume up & down key at the same time.
Power on the phone.
When you see the gray screen with the blue writing, release the volume keys.
Follow the on screen instructions.
If you did not hold the key properly and it just stops on the 4 color bands screen. Take out the battery and try again.

The word “ROM” is used very loosely in here. Some times it is referring to type of memory chip call a ROM. other times we are referring to the built-in programming image software called a “ROMs”. Originally a ROM = Read Only Memory, like a old Nintendo game cartage but the new ones that are used in phones are not 100% read only.
If you want to know more let me know.
Why I think the Desire HD is a better multimedia phone than the HD2 is for 4 reasons.
1. The parts of it that are not the sense UI looks better/polished in comparison to the parts of win mo that are not the Sense UI.
2. For media formats and software that play them, the HD2 and Desire HD were neck and neck but the Desire HD went over the top by having full flash 10. 1 support in the web browser. No crappy app or mediaplayer add-on needed.
3. better video camera
4. It handles media attached to email more in keeping to how it would look on a PC.
So if you are in the market to buy a phone and you just wanted ONE OS and you are more a multimedia Person don’t you think that would be the way to go?
(if you like need microsoft outlook, word, excel then you need the HD2 no questions asked.)
