If it has garmin that is a plus for me because I use garmin nav map files
“USB Disk” I guess is better than nothing (which is what WP7 has to offer) but I can’t go installing software on every office PC I connect my phone to.
As for the outlook sync link you gave, that just is not enough.
See I use outlook for not just the contact list. I also use the calendar and task. And not every task or appointment in outlook is created by me. So I need them to be synced to my phone when they are created. Because I may not be by my desk when the set reminder time has arrived.
iPhone is getting better with every version.
But I still don’t think its really a “work” device for me.
So I’m still looking out for that WOW device. So far it looks like it is going to be a “W8 tablet” just hope that dose not turn out to be disappointing as well.

I am using HD2 since 1 year and i am using android MIUI rom on it without any problem. It works like its own OS. If anyone wants to install android on HD2 get MIUI laest version and load it. I try other android also but MIUI is best for HD2.

> In reply to Anthony @ 2012-01-18 15:49 from LxG4 - click to read@Anthony...Sorry for late reply. I'm on the same boat…..not into games so much. I do have some 30-40 quality apps which suit my needs. Good thing about apple's app store is that it's very huge where there is always something for everyone. Tons of choices plus quality apps…unlike win mob or android apps. Regarding your queries:
1) Using iPhone as flash drive:
Diskaid- You can use iPhone as usb drive but you need to have this program in your computer.
Air sharing- It helps mount iPhone as wireless hard drive. Transfer files via wifi.
USB DIsk- This is the best option but you need to jailbreak. Btw, jailbreak for 4S is already out.
2) Sync with outlook - Pls read this link. http://www.technipages.com/iph...ok-2007.html
My way - I'm mac user now and I use MS office a lot. So I do have mac version office including outlook. I synced my outlook to iPhone in little different way. First I synced outlook & apple's "address book". After that I synced address book to iPhone. This way all my contacts in outlook, address book & iPhone are all synced. And on the top of that iPhone 4s has 5gb "iCloud". I have synced to iCloud too for further backup.
3) Garmin apps - Apps store has tons of navigational apps including garmin but I do not know if it supports your city/country. I just use google map for simple navigation.
After using win mob, bb & android, I tell you that iPhone simply works. No hanky-panky…everything is straight forward. I am not here t to compare features or talk about what it can what it can not. As any other phone, it is not perfect phone …..does have limitation. It may not be as good as top end android phones spec-wise but it does the best from what it has. Most of other OS phones look great in paper only. When comes to action, half of their features simply do not work or clunky.
PS: Battery life is not bad….definitely better than hd2.

Are you happy with it that way?

Installed nand android from SD. Works like a charm. The best way is to follow the instructions from jayceooi. Just Google search HTC hd2 android jayceooi to get the instructions and the rom.

> In reply to Ludovico_1962 @ 2012-01-19 15:12 from IaHv - click to readThe one you tried didn’t need MAGLDER for it to boot?
Because the one I tried needed MAGLDER or when CLRCAD boot out of WM the phone was just powering off.
MAGLDER needs HSPL3 or 2
And I’m running a 3.14ROM which is only 100% compatible HSPL4
So using MAGLDER to run a SD version of Android is not an option.
Could you post the link for ICS that dose not use MAGLDER, please?

> In reply to Rinzy @ 2012-01-16 18:00 from tevX - click to readYou must extract the files in a folder named \ICS
NOT \ANDROID !
Then you must run clrcad.exe and haret.exe
It works fine in a 2GB SD card. I'm tring to install with the same procedure in a 8GB SD card (both with FAT32 and cluster size 4KB) and don't works (hangs with HTC green screen).

Where?
What’s it called? (in WM its called Garmin Mobile XT)
Is it in the android market?
I have been waiting for this news for some time now.
Make me smile; tell me what I need to know. As I would like to get a next phone some time this year. But was begging to think I would have to forget it because I was not getting the functionality I wanted.
