> In reply to Anthony @ 2012-01-18 15:49 from LxG4 - click to readI know how you feel mate, everyday I cry for not having Microsoft support one of the best OS.
so I went and got the Galaxy Note, and now my HD2 is gathering dust on the shelve.
I recommend you get it if you can, your Garmen navigation will run pretty well on it,mine does.
And thanks Anthony for the great help you have been for a long time that I have owned HD2.

I'll rather stick to WinMo & Of course would love to install CHT. I had CHT 1.8 I guess (Cannot remember not). Where can I download the latest version?

I happy that you are happy with your iPhone 4S but you
You gave me no details of how the iPhone 4S solves the problem that I have with other OS which cause me to hold on to my HD2.
Smooth like silk and can’t do the things I need it to do is pointless.
I don’t need a tons of apps I just need a few for productivity. And GAMES are not in my productivity list.
Siri is way cool but I live on an island and Siri don’t know squat to find any business or place of interest or nav info for me to get from point “A” to “B”
WP7 did no better by the way. “BING” gave me a slap in the face when it showed me we only have 3 roads and no know places of interest. It was if i said I was living on the mood.
How do you sync your iPhone 4s with Microsoft Outlook on your PC?
How do you use your iPhone 4s as a flash Drive.?
Does iPhone have Garmin (the brand not just any nav program. It must work with Garmin maps)
I’m done buying flash drive again, no mater how small in physical size I get them, some how I manage to break/crack the head off the board. WP7 has no flash drive function, does iPhone 4s have it.
Speed is not everything. It also has to do what I want as well.
I can get an iPhone 4s on a plan
With 250min voice
250sms
4G WiMAX unlimited hotspot
EDGE unlimited
For $116.27US a month and the phone would cost about $100.00US
But for that price every month, I want more than a cool device to make calls; I want something that will allow me to use my PC even less than I do now as I have a HD2.
Hope you get my point and can actually give me answers to if it can do what I asked or not.

PIM backup
http://www.freewarepocketpc.ne...up-v2-8.html
PIM backup does not need to be installed it runs from where ever you copy the file (so make a folder for it so your multiple backups will be in one place.
When you run it you pick from “Action” if you want to Backup or “Restore”
And you check the items you want to “backup” or “restore”
Some items activate the “Options” key to the left.
On the NEXT page
You pick where you want your backups kept (it would be best to set it for a location on your SD card)
Check it “as Default backup folder”
Better yet just check everything in that window.
Pick “schedule” and set your backup days, time & number of backups to keep.
Also check “Turn off after backup” & “Delete old backup files”
One you do that tap “Validate”
Once it goes back to the next screen tap on “options” on the right,
Then pick Schedule>load Schedule
Hit next and watch the backup or restore be made.
Then exit.
After that backups should be made based on the schedule you made.
When you want to restore run the program again. Browse for the restore file you want to restore and run it.
Note: you can restore part of the file you don’t have to restore the full thing, just uncheck the things you don’t want to restore.
There is more it can do but I can’t go into everything. But the pictures on the web site will give you some ideas.

If you are a user of the digital compass and now you have upgraded to the 3.14ROM you would have noticed a lot of it functionally has been removed, which allowed you to use it with the album, Google maps and footprints. The link below gives you a version that gives you back google maps use with the digital compass.

As you tried to install ICS on your phone that had a 3.14 ROM it is recommended that you do I factory reset. Because some of your files may have been corrupted.
Hold both volume up and down when turning on the phone to get the factory rest screen.
Tip:2
Install a program call PIM backup
And set a schedule for it to backup your contacts, task, sms, calendar and so on. To you SD.
So you can restore the info when ever you do a factory reset.

Under install is says is needs to be in an ICS folder.
But the bigger problem is ICS ROMs look like they need MAGLDER to be installed on your phone.
MAGLDER is not compatible with HSPL4, which is why I said you could not install NAND Android or WP7
And if you put on a lower version on HSPL, you will lose a portion of your ROM if you keep the 3.14 version of WM6.5
Lower versions of HSPL are made to work with ROMs up to 1.66
Your options are…
1. Look for a gingerbread SD Android ROM
2. change your windows ROM to a older version so you can use HSPL2 or 3
3. Get rid of windows all together and install a NAND Android ROM.

I copied all these in a Android folder created in SD Card. After installing the "haret" it displays a black screen with a green HTC logo. Thats about it. Did not happen anything even after 1 hour. Where did I go wrong?

I said the extract the files and find the FOLDER named ANDROID.
COPY it(folder named ANDROID) and its CONTENTS to the ROOT of the SD
Tip 1
As a user that dose not have unlimited internet you should install program called “DATA CONTROLER” you can use it to turn off the parts of the SIM you don’t want the phone to use.

1. Extracted the download file.
2. FIND THE FOLDER WITH THE NAME ANDROID.
3. Copy that FOLDER and its contents to the ROOT of the SD.

I extracted "ICS-4.0.3-CM9-build15.7z" and copied the contact in to my SD Card. After running the "CLRCAD", I installed "HARET" but nothing happens except a black screen with HTC label. Nothing happened after that. Any suggestions??
