Anonymous, 13 Apr 2010I'm about to buy this phone, but I need to know if it rings loud and if the call sound quality... moreCall quality is great.
As for if the ring is laud… laud for me may be soft for you… If it’s a car alarm volume you looking for in your ring tone then the answer is no. If you want something you can still hear even when it is under a pillow this can do that.
I'm about to buy this phone, but I need to know if it rings loud and if the call sound quality is good. Thanks.
Mary, 13 Apr 2010Hi Anthony
i visited the HTC site 2day to get the new official ROM available there but after ... moreYou get that message for 1 of 2 reasons.
1. You have a HD2 from a Provider and HTC does not have a update ROM on there site for your Provider phones you have to get your Rom from the Provider.
2. You Have a HTC factory ROM phone but for a region that does not have and update newer than what you already have.
If you fall under reason 1. And your phone has a 1.43ROM. my advice would to be to hack the phone and put on the HTC factory 1.66ROM.
1.43 is full of bugs.

hello Anthony.can u plz tell me where to get the PC suite for my HD2?i wanna upda... morePC sweet lol
Take nokia out of your head.
All you need Is AvtiveSync if you have XP or Windows Mobile Device Center if you have Vista or 7. do a google search for the one you want. It is free and it should be from an official Microsoft web page (they are programs but after first setup they behave more like USB drivers because you never have to open them again (not even when you are using it) unless you want to change a setting.)

hope u rdoing fine.i got my hd2 atlast 2day.its lovely.but a problem i faced with ... moreIt’s empty because HTC don’t want you messing with it.
The work around I have found is to install a program that by default use the hardware key you want to change. And that program will add the key to the list. Then you can go in the settings and change it to what ever you want.
If it is the official ROM update for your phone all you need is the ROM and ActiveSync or WMDC (which one depends on if you running XP or Vista/7)
If it is not an official update you your S/N you will also need HSPL for the HD2
Syrus, 13 Apr 2010May be you know the solution but I think you do not understand my question. Here is the scenar... moreSo let me see if I get this straight?
You want the calling card as a contact by it self
And when you use it you want to be able to go back in contacts to pick the # you are calling?
I think if you try to do that on this phone what you will end up with is 2 calls with the first call being on hold.
What I was telling you to do was to save the call card info and the phone number you want to call in the same string. But I can see how that would be a pain if call card numbers change and you call more than one person.
I never used a calling card; I use the p & w for office numbers that have automated systems.

Here is the scenario. Lets say I buy $20 calling card which can be used for 10-15 calls(10-15 mins/call).
Normally Wat I do is... I create one new contact (lets say..calling card) and then put all card info using P & W. So whenever I need to make phone call using card ….just scroll down to name (in our eg..calling card) in contact list and call….then it will do all formalities automatically and asked to enter no I wish to call. Here is the main catch. In nokia phone, contact menu opens up when you are asked to enter no. But in hd2 …at that point I need to enter number manually….i can not choose from contact menu. I always save international no... with country & area code in my phone for this purpose. Hope you understand what I want.
HELP HELP Hi. I did a soft reset on phone but after powering back on fone my pics and videos on the storage card are still there. However, I cant see them. It says application not found.
What can I do. Thanks
hope u rdoing fine.i got my hd2 atlast 2day.its lovely.but a problem i faced with is that when i wanna assign functions to the keys the key list is totally empty.y is that?
and for installing a new ROM what applications do i need?
Syrus, 13 Apr 2010The one thing I really miss about my old nokia95 is ....ease of making international call usin... moreit is no different with the HD2. if you edit the contact you want to use the calling card with. when you pick the # to edit you will see the wp(),.+#- and space are all right there for you to use and save with the number. go look at edit people again.
The one thing I really miss about my old nokia95 is ....ease of making international call using "calling card". I mean...you can save all info of calling card... one time by using "P" & "w" key and then link to contact list. That way i do not need to press all those calling card nos & contact no.
Is there any better way to use "calling card" with HD2? I make lots of international call with calling card and its kinda pain in neck.
Pause & wait do work in HD2 but the problem is ....phone's contact list does not open up like in nokia. All card info can be saved in hd2 like nokia but i need to dial the number manually.... can not simply pick up contact from phone's contact list.
