Rinzy, 13 Jan 2012Under “device”, Total storage is 176.49MB & Total program is 336.77MB. Shall I replace 3.0... moreThat adds up to just over the documented ROM size of 512mb so you have lost nothing
Feel free to try and see if your can change the HSPL to the SPL and maintain that size. (let me know how that goes, check it after on the 4 colored bands screen to know that it changed)
I’m not a pro with android, so all I can do is get you started.
Blow is a link to Android ROMs.
The ones you want say “SD” as the ROM type:
(don’t ask me which is best because I don’t know, I have not tried all.)
1. Pick one you want to try and go to the XDA Thread to download it to your PC.
2. use 7zip to extract the files/folders.
3. Locate the folder with the name “Android” and copy it and it’s contents to the root of your SD card. (Do not copy the folders that the “Android” folder is in)
4. From explorer on your phone open the folder
5. run CLRCAD (nothing will happen that you can see but you have to run it)
6. run HARET
Android set-up will start (the first time can take as much as 15-20min) you must complete the setup or it will take just as long the next time.
Note: unlike windows mobile you actually have to use the hardware keys (the back key is to go back, there is no “X” and the window key is “menu”
To get back into windows just restart the phone.
To get back into Android run the 2 files again.
I will post some windows tips for you tomorrow.

Rinzy, 13 Jan 2012Awesome! Its updated into English ROM. Thanks Mr. Anthony. What else do we have to check?Want you to check that you did not lose any ROM space with the unapproved upgrade to 3.14 some people have said they have lost as much as 50mb when they try to do it with HSPL3
1. go to settings tab>SD card & phone storage… and under “device” tell me what is your total storage mb & your total program mb.
After that you can try to use the HSPL4 to replace 3.03HSPL the 3.03.0000 which is the original SPL for a 3.14 ROM.
After that I can give you some tips to keep your phone running smooth and some useful utilities I use, if you like.

the 2nd line is what I wanted to make sure changed to 3.03HSPL
After you get the English rom working I will want you to try something to get it to read as SPL-3.03.0000 XE
But for now, it is time to install the ROM
If you are still on the screen with the 4 bands you can remove the battery to get the phone out of that.
1. power on the phone normally
2. connect the phone to the PC in ActiveSync mode (option 1)
3. Run the ROM you download on your PC and follow the onscreen instructions.
Note: when it says it will take about 10 min, it takes a lot less than that.
Your battery must have more the 50% power to install a ROM.
When you are done setting up the phone let me know. There are some things I want to check to make sure everything is ok.
Anthony, 12 Jan 2012I don’t know where you are but in a -4GMT time zone. I'm from Sri Lanka. +5.5 GMT Zone. (: I was holding the volume DOWN key when turning on the phone. Now there is a screen with 4 colored band and it says ;

Love you HTC for your HTC HD2

If you already did that’s ok, it would not have undone what we did before.
That screen comes up if you hold both volume UP and DOWN at the same time when turning on the phone.
What I want you to do is hold volume DOWN only when turning on the phone.
Note: If you are doing that and still getting the screen you said then you must have a “LEOIMG.nbh” file on your SD and you need to remove it or keep the SD out of the phone till we are done. (Better to remove the leoimg.nbh)
