It uses .png files I downloaded from google to use as custom icons to over write the icons for folders and programs in the start menu and quick launch.
If you find it before I get home let me know. if not, I will try to find the site I got it from then and post the link.
Also, thanks 'some 15 year old' for the link to the cab files for the games. I'm adding to my already huge list of games I have!
Installed the S2U2 as you recommended Anthony and it has solved the calendar issue I had. Must say it's alot nicer having this as my lock screen than the standard one and seeing all appointments for the coming week too.
Did you see my question on creating new folders within the Start Menu with icons? I've got several folders I have created to tidy up my phone a bit so I don't have a big list of apps on one page. I've split them down into things like 'Tools', 'GPS apps', 'Documents' etc. Do you know of a way to create icons for the folders - eg like the Games folder which is displayed as a control pad?
Thanks again

Anthony,
In one of ur previous posts u mentioned that google has'nt released the SDK for android 2.1 for developers .
I read on the gsmarena blog today that it has released it now . so does that mean holding on to android will be a better idea or is it too early to tell?
( i am no developer so keep the explanation simple )

you should also know that cheap knock off chargers can damage your battery and are not recommended. look for originals on clove as well.
Thank you very much some 15 year old.
I will try later.
Thanks again.

When I hooked it to my PC, it will not charge. Also my led lights blink orange and green. I don't have any notifications..... The funny thing is it charged when I first put it in the phone earlier. Now it will not charge connected to the PC????? To send it back will cost more than what I paid for it (stuck with it and $8.29 lost)... Also I noticed with the new battery in (Hong Kong), the phone will not stay connected. It will disconnect itself and reconnect itself. When I put the original battery in everything is fine. Charges and stays connected.... Done with Hong Kong products!!!!!!

Anthony, 13 Jan 2010Auto lock can’t be turned off just like that, you have to install BsB Tweaks to disable it.

High Tech, 13 Jan 2010Just received my secondary battery from a place in Hong Kong. It said it was an HTC HD2 origin... moreAlso I'm waiting on a battery charger to arrive as well. That only cost $4.99 + free shipping.....Will let you know how that works?????
Just received my secondary battery from a place in Hong Kong. It said it was an HTC HD2 original battery, but it wasn't. It had HTC innovations on it, but the lettering was all wrong (different size and coloring of the letters). It was a battery made to look like original. It does work though. It charges to 100% & drains (speed wise) like the original. It only cost $8.29 + free shipping....I purchased from ebay....If U don't buy through ebay or Paypal, I wouldn't buy. Bought from a Hong Kong site on my own, but didnt receive the merchandise (wrong items sent, and packaging was opened). Now waiting on refund from them, or I will file for refund through Paypal...........
Anonymous, 12 Jan 2010yeah meant to say its set to 'correct' GMT for my location - my mistake. Can't be an issue... moreI would call HTC to see if U can do that (If they will service it)???????
Bert, 13 Jan 2010Hi I have just bought the HD2 and really like the phone. The only problem is the lound speaker... moreFront speaker volume is controlled independent of back speaker volume. Whatever volume you set, it does not apply to speaker phone. So when speaker phone is on you have to set the volume then (use the same keys on the side of the phone.)
dilshah, 12 Jan 2010when i do voice talk with skype using WiFi connection after 2 to 3 mins my phone gets screen l... moreAuto lock can’t be turned off just like that, you have to install BsB Tweaks to disable it.
But that still won’t help you with the Wi-Fi problem :-)
There are 2 ways you can stop it from disconnecting, both of them will run the batter down faster.
You see, by default Wi-Fi is set to sleep when the screen goes off, to save battery power, so this is what you can do.
1. Go to “settings”
Sound & Display
Backlight
Uncheck “Turn off device if not used for” from battery & External Power
Done
Now the screen will not go off so the Wi-Fi will not sleep.
2. It is better to do this one...
Install “HD2 tweak” (the English version is out now for download)
Run it and go to WiFi
Set “WiFi and standby mode” to “Activate”
Now when the screen goes off the WiFi will still stay on.
Note: your battery will run down faster because the wifi will never turn off till you turn it off.
Robbo, 12 Jan 2010Just got my HD2 (my first smartphone) but I have a question which has probably been asked befo... moreYes this phone does play avi by default but you don’t know how video encoding/formats work. So take a look at this video to have a better understanding.
Go the link
http://cnettv.cnet.com/
Put the words between the { } in the search bar there.
{make sense of digital video files}
Watch the first video you will learn allot.
When you are done the encoding this phone reads by default is .263, 3GPP2, MPEG4, Motion JPEG, and H.264
If you want to be able to decode more you have to install coreplayer. For a wvga screen.
