Anthony, 24 Dec 2009You really do read the things i say half way, don’t you?
Does anyone remember me saying the f... moreok my concern is that why is .net3.5 showing up in " remove applications " cause i synced it on the phone. .
it should def install on the device mem . i read somewhere on the microft site and it mentioned that a little part of the .net3.5 will install on storage card and some will install on device mem .
as far as skyfire goes ive uninstalled it . the only thing i see on the storage card is bsbtweaks and .net3.5
so before putting a new card these 2 progarms (.net and bsb tweaks are the ones i am concerned about )
ill just uninstall bsbtweaks from the storage card but what do i do with the .net3.5 i see in " remove applications "
vish, 24 Dec 2009Anthony, Just one more thing buddy besides the s2u2 issue in the previous post. i am upgra... moreThink of installation files for this phone as you would think of installation CD's/DVD’s for your PC... you don't leave them in the drive after you have completed the installing of a program do you? But sometimes if you have space to spear you just back up the CD some where right?
Anonymous, 24 Dec 2009Thank you Anthony for your information. In this case I think my HD2 is having problem so I hav... moreYou don’t have to take it back; you just have to follow the right charging procedure. it may not be to late.
You should fully let your battery charge and discharge (rundown till dead) at least 3 times when you just get the phone. This is done to condition the cells in the battery. You should discharge at least once a month after that to prolong the life of the battery. (This is done no matter what brand or model phone you have. Iphone included) If you have the phone set to charge when it is connected to your PC you should turn that off after the battery reaches 100% to prevent overcharging damage that can happen after months of us.
These are the steps to do that.
Go to settings
Tap on “About phone”
Tap on “Battery”
Then check the box next to “When phone is on, do not charge the battery when connected to a PC.”
And if you think overcharging damage can’t happen then ask yourself this.... why is that setting there then?

Does anyone remember me saying the files you download are not needed after you have installed the program, you only keep them for when you have to do a reinstall and that could be kept on your pc if you want every ounce of space on the memory card?
If it was installed to phone memory it will not stop functioning because you change the card.
The patch from HTC always goes to the phone memory so you don’t have to reinstall that.
.net should have been installed to the phone memory so that will not need to reinstall that.
If you installed the rest to phone memory they too will not need to be reinstalled.
But if you installed them to the memory card and not planning to use that card again then the programs you installed there will have to be reinstalled. In that list you gave the only one i installed to the card is skyfire. That’s the only one that does not start with the phone. So it was ok to install it on the card.

I leave Wi-Fi on at night so when the alarm on the phone sounds off, the phone will wake, the Wi-Fi will auto activate and my e-mail and weather will be updated. was in here last night before I went to sleep and I'm in here now. and my battery is still 84% with the Wi-Fi on to write this post.
Roshan J Thaliath, 24 Dec 2009Hi Antony I would like to know how is the ring volume and music volume compared to HTC HD can ... morevolume is higher on the HD2.
I use to use audio boot from HD Tweak on my HD. most times I have to tune it down on this phone. as for music, you going to want to get a 3rd party head set. the one it comes with is better than the HD but I still wanted more bass.
Hi Antony I would like to know how is the ring volume and music volume compared to HTC HD can you please help me ?
I bought this phone 2 weeks ago. I found tvery serious question on the standby time. I had my phone with all programs ended and WiFi switched off before sleeping while the phone was fully charged to 100%. However, the power showed 68% left after 8 hours. I then made another test by switching on Flight Mode before sleep when the phone was fully charged. The power still ran off 30% within 8 hours. I am therefore very doubtful about the 390 hours of standby time under 3G mentioned in the specs. I don't think my phone can reach even 1/10 of this figure. If anybody has the similar question, please comment.

Anthony, 23 Dec 2009This is what I was talking about, when I said many time before (don’t install programs that st... mores2u2 installation is not giving me a choice on where to save the application.
when i copy the rar file on the storage card and goto the cab file in it . it starts installing on the storage card automatically . it does not allow me to chose device memory . i want to store the file on the storage card but the application to install on the device memory .
any reason why its not giving me a choice between device memory and storage memory . (i am not in disk drive mode while installing the cab )
i installed skyfire on the storage card sucessfully and it gave me a choice between saving it on device or storage mem. but no such choice came up while installing s2u2 ...
do u think i should copy the cab file on device and run the applicatiction on device as well?
Now that I have Spb Shell 3.5.2 working on the HD2, I've since changed to using that as my UI (80%). It gives you alot of customization ability (U get a total of 10 screens to customize how you like. I have one just for games and one for apps, etc.) You also can add widgets on Spb Shell as well. HTC Sense UI is good, but you cannot do alot of customization to the home screen. I like the weather app and email and text tabs. Just not alot of customization.
What UI are you guys using??????????? I found a task switcher app that switch TF3D and Spb Shell. It works GREAT.........
Judging from previous experiences with HTC quality the HD2 is a great piece of equipment. I love the huge screen size, the big thumb-friendly capacitive touch screen and the ultra fast pendragon processor. The big size yet thin is easy to carry in your shirt or pant pocket and does not feel uncomfortable at all.
Was reading regarding video playing feature that someone was saying did not have the feature out of the box. I did try playing some videos and yes they play very good; it was a great experience. I have it for about 2 week now and every day I love it more and more.
Nice job HTC !!!
