KP, 14 Dec 2009Hi there.
I had an HTC Touch Cruise earlier and have recently purchased an HD2. In the prev... moreYou can copy sms to the sim and the other way around as well.
Just tap the actual message in the window it self a menu will pop up with
Copy to sim
Move to sim
View message details.
(the window i was talking about is the chat window for the sms not the UI preview window.)
But as you said this way is very limited. You need to think bigger :-)
Why not use the “my phone” app that came with the phone to backup
That is kept on the phone memory
To an online sever that you can use to restore any windows mobile cell phone with your info.
You can even login to the site and view or edit your info right on the web page and have the change synced back to your phone.
Or if you are paranoid and don’t want your info on the net you can install “pim backup”
You can set schedules in it to back up your
Messages (msm, mms and e-mail)
And customs file, folders, and file types.
To the memory card at a time you preset.
This phone is still running windows mobile so you can still set signatures.
Got to the e-mail tap
Scroll down and tap “Tools”
And I think you can do the rest from there.
Hello there :) does anybody knows where the weather is updating from ? which web site ??

Pls ca someone help how can I configrate my internet in my new HTC HD2, I always get eroor messege.
1) How can I send the photos taken with the HD2 camera, via bluetooth?
2) Is it possible to install Engineering softwares like Matlab or Autocad on HD2? The 1GHz CPU is wonderfull!!!!
I had an HTC Touch Cruise earlier and have recently purchased an HD2. In the previous phone I could copy important SMS on the sim card. In case I had to hard reset the phone all SMS from the phonje would be lost, but I could always access / read the important sms on the sim card. This is not possible on HD2. Is there a way to copy these SMS - maybe a folder in the phone which I can simply copy before hard resetting the phone and copy it back afterwards?
Secondly, I could also create default signing off statements (Regards / etc) for emails as well as SMS on the previous phone. Is this possible on HD2?
Very well-built phone. But if you are getting it because it is a large screen windows mobile device or pocketpc; for the purpose of running 3rd party installed pocketpc softwares, please note that this machine function without a stylus and software may not work. Perhaps it is not pressure-sensitive screen and is touchpad intended, i don't know. Please take note.

My mp3s total 476 & are all correctly tagged, with art, 128-160 kbps. In fact the htc mucic player has been unable to handle my mp3s even before i added the progs listed above, hence i've been using the windows media player instead, tho its not my preferred choice.

im dany from india.htc hd2 is going to release in india on 15th of this month.i want to buy a touchscreen multimedia phone with great looks and good 3g functionality.is htc hd2 is a better option or should i switch to another one if so please tell me which phone should i switch to.
reply for the enthusiast reader of PC World, m8 you have to understand that magazines , newspapers and sites live from advertising, for all the reviews ,tops and products presentations they have contracts on witch they receive large amounts of money, no1 makes good reviews for free, the internet its developed becouse of the advertising, to realy make a top of the bests phone you have to take the matters in your own hands, search the specif. of the phone, compare them, search infos/data of forums and blogs where normal people like us posts their experience with the product they use, not some hy payed influenced employers.
some of you are still young, do not get influenced by others, you are smart so use that.

2. Apple iPhone 3GS
Bottom Line: Performance enhancements distinguish the otherwise evolutionary step-up iPhone 3GS from its previous iterations.

Anthony, 13 Dec 2009Thanks about the info about the file name thing, i did not know about that one. Didn’t have an... moreBad news - my problem with the audio manager has resurfaced once again, despite my removing symbols from my MP3 file names. Each time I open the HTC music player tab it crashes and ends up sending an error report to Microsoft (not that I ever receive any feedback as a result...hey-ho)
I've heard that getting an updated sim card has helped other WinMo phone users avoid problems with their handsets, and I think my sim card is around 4-5 years old. Time for a change of sim, or is that unlikely to help with this music player failure?
Alternatively, should I delete the HTC music player tab and try and install another (free?) music player - as I'm not keen on using Windows Media Player as my default program.
