Amoah, 03 Jun 2011Downloaded the American android and having a feel of it. Guess Liverpool is right on the batte... morethe date is 29 but they didn't put it on first page simply cus the Co developers wanted to know the loyal people who follow their thread regularly!!! I guess its around page 920, anyway the 29may build is the best build so far.
Hi Anthony, a little help here. You answered an earlier post on rom 3.14 upgrade. I have similar issue my rom is 1.66.415.9(76641)WWE am not so sure whether it's middle east n Africa per the earlier post.I ve tried with my SN at the official HTC site but i keep getting the not suitable response. can u place help me out.
Downloaded the American android and having a feel of it. Guess Liverpool is right on the battery cos I can see a difference between this n the desire HD version I was using previously. I believe the date for the American Droid is 26,stand to be corrected.
Android is great. I'm loving it. All Java Developers now moved to Android. Open Source rocks. Iphone is quite competitive with hardware and OS-speed but can never compete the Open Source enthusiasts. Windows & Symbian suck big time.

Liverpool, 21 May 2011Hi Anthony did u visit the xda site which i post to u days ago 4 American android??i have the SD Amrican droid on my phone now. and i still don't like it. Android on the SD card is just too slow for me. or maybe my SD card is just to slow for it.... and before anyone says use a NAND rom. let me know when android gets full MS office support and Garmin and i might just do that.
Anonymous, 31 May 2011how do you do the upgrade. will like to know that to help improve the battery life of mine thxAll official ROM upgrades and instructions are on the HTC web site under support for free download.
But you have to know where your phone was made for to know which HTC site country to pick and if it is a provider phone or a factory unlocked phone to know which ROM to pick. Only when you have that information correct, will your phone S/N allow you to do the download. From a PC.
The ROM on your phone now can tell you what HD2 your have
e.g. the ROM I have now is 3.14.405.2
3.14 is the ROM version 405 tells me it is a UK factory unlocked ROM. if you need any more information just let me know.
Anthony, 29 May 2011Android uses more power and windows. That is a known fact. If your ROM is not 3.14 upgrading ... morehow do you do the upgrade. will like to know that to help improve the battery life of mine thx
THe battery will last longer using windows but that OS sucks, so go for android but install it on the ROM not SD card that takes lots of battery consumption.
on ROM you will have a decent battery life.
by the way with Android the phone rocks big time
Neil, 28 May 2011Ive not updated anything on the HD2 since I purchased it..The battery sucks big time...Does up... moreit works great on android, battery life also seems to get better, but in android using internet continously will take toll of ur battery
