u can update the hero....but if u want ICS...i got to tell you, the phone dont work...super slow...
if u want GB, its nice, fast, smooth...
go to XDA-developers, and go to the htc hero section...

Its very simple... Firstly On your bluetooth and received the song form anyone, when u received the song... then go to top of the screen and scrool down the screen... Hopefully you will get the next steps for receiveing the song or file from Bluetooth..

I fail to receive or send songs or pictures using my bluetooth,, does it work to others or is my own problem? but all the other programes are awesome,, i love this phone!!

this phone is so unique...browses internet fine. does everything fine...i've had it for 3 years now. dropped it atleast a thousand times...AND STILL everything works perfectly no issues at all...its awwsome.

I've now passed in on to my wife, who will use it for web searches as well as phone/text, so it'll suit her just fine. Using that spec she'll not get through the battery in a week despite it now being 3rd hand!
I pinched an old HTC Desire from my dad this weekend and although that phone is now 3 years old it is noticeably faster than the Hero, you can manually upgrade it to Gingerbread (2.3) so I think for someone like me who isn't cutting edge, it'll work for everything from watching live TV downwards.
