I disagree with everything that has been said on the forum, and the poor, uninformed quality of the questioning. Therefore everyone should stop posting about this, or I will ask GSM Arena to force you to stop.

Don't know why people like winmo so much, its rubbish. Symbian, mac os and android are far better platforms. I like the fact HTC is going with android, as in the future it will open more opportunities, especially once it takes off and more apps and stuff are available. Not a HTC fan myself, but I think it's positive as android has some powerful capabilities and they seem to be the ones most noticing that.

Is this a brick or a cell phone - the design is terrible. Everything else is amazing.

No iTunes! Excellent decision for HTC. Boy, that 5 megapixel camera's sweet! I love how it has that designer curve in the lower end, a shame that other people think of it as a banana (says a lot about them!). Teflon coating that even Gizmodo says makes the iPhone feel like a cheap piece of kit.
I've had an iPhone, a BlackBerry, and a Windows Mobile device, and at the moment, if you can live without the apps on the iPhone, this looks like the best deal you can get.

Alex what are you talking about. You obviously havent used an Android phone. The OS is certainly not slow. Offcourse Android has third party apps on the android market (equvalent to the app store). Check out the "IBM Seer" and "Layar" apps in youtube. (Android is leading the way in terms of augmented reality mobile apps)also visit http://www.android.com/market for a feel of what apps are avail for android phones, of which the HTC Hero is one.
