The phone itself is pretty awesome and it does everything I need it to do. I was contemplating the Hero and the iPhone and I am very pleased with it. The phone does drop a lot of calls and the battery is incredibly weak. It went from 100% full to 50% in about 4 hours and I used it for texting during this time and played about 30 mins of Pandora. Not sure where they get the 7 to 8 hr talk time spec. I would give it no more than 2 before the battery is ready to die. I hope they will address this with the next android. But overall great phone!

Need some help/advice. I just recently got the HTC Hero, but I went in the store looking to get the Blackberry Bold. Got talked in to this one, think the phone is very neat, but I'm not liking the touch screen, I can't type great on it. I have 14 days to change my mind. Do I take this phone back or do I keep it??

hi heroes,
is it true that:
1. battery is weak?
2. network reception is weak and often drop ?
love this phone and going to buy, but have the above concern.

Android is better than Windown and/or OS? I am waiting for Philips V900 Android. But I like HTC in design.

Is it possible to do an update with the review with the ROM update? I heard that the device became really fast with the update.

There's an app named discovery on the market that basically turn your hero to a ftp server, which allow you download and upload files to your phonr. This mean you no longer had to rely on Bluetooth or cable to connect to your phone. The transfer speed is even faster than Bluetooth.

I think there is an error with the 'Key Features' regarding the review of the HTC Hero on the first page.
The processor is suppose to be "Qualcomm MSM 7200A 528 MHz processor" instead of "Qualcomm MSM 7201A 528 MHz CPU" ? The specs page for HTC's website and GSMarena's website shows 7200A but the review pages differs.
http://www.htc.com/www/product...ication.html
http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_hero-2861.php
There are some differences between 7200A and 7201A.

Have been using this phone in India for a week now.. I was always wondering if Iphone would ever get a tough competition and the answer was Hero.. I guess the iphone is good but Hero is better in terms of more flexible user interface and my search for the perfect mobile ends here for now .... Thanks HTC for such a great phone.
