hey guys i just purchased an htc hero but i cant connect to the internet....were do i go and wat do u do please help..

try installin the new htc sync.... it will take time but it surely sync with windows 7.... one of the best phones ever... i have it n i love it ;-)

I cannot sync by hero to my pc. when i downloaded the latest sync it says error since it cannot find vista . i an using windows 7 pls help me

is there any known issue with the handset in regards to the handset where it comes up with a message as "No Service" on the display screen??...

I used to have this phone and I LOVED it! I had no issues with the phone what-so-ever for well over a year, only replaced it when I lost it :( I then bought the iPhone 4 and was much happier with my Hero than the iPhone, although I like the iPhone4 as well, but I much prefer Android so I replaced that with HTC's desire and am happy enough with that although I still miss the Hero like crazy. If they brought out a 'new and improved' Hero I wouldn't hesitate in buying it, I just want it to run as fast and smooth as its newer counterpart, the Desire.

there soooo many custom rom available for this phone...
u can choose whether 2.1 @ 2.2 @ 2.3.. all available in xda forum.. but u need to root ur phone 1st...
and all seems working find!!
for me, i use 2.2, as it commonly use right now..
and i LOVE it !!

I am Using VillainRom 13.. Its Blazzing Fast, Smoooooth n Staaaable.... Simply bring hero to life Again.... Simply loving it.....
Great Phone... its really ..... what it has been said for it... Born to Rise....

I own the htc hero for a year now isend it to nicosia cyprous offices for problems with touchscreen three times and i have problems with touch screen again. the ather phones i had for years was nokia and i did not had any problems. my hero never had afall or water or anything.The bilt number of my hero is:2.73.405.38 CL#70768

Loved the phone, however now having serious problems deleting messages (i have thousands) and it crashes when i try. Ive read forums suggesting downloading apps to help with this, however now have the additional problem of being unable to download any apps off market...anyone with suggestions much appreciated!!

Just got mine, very attractive and very customizable, just installed 2.3 on it and it flys, a good phone with a nice camera, nice layout, definitely get one if you can!
