> In reply to Eddie @ 2010-02-21 05:37 from kNa6 - click to readThis isn't due to the limitations of Android as both the Desire & Nexus One have a screen resolution of 480x800 on their 3.7" screens. Perhaps HTC have taken this retrograde step on the Legend just to make these more expensive phones seem all the better. Come on HTC sort it out!

Can anyone explain to me why HTC has gone backwards (not even stayed the same) 2 yrs on in terms of display resoloution on this size phone. The Touch Diamond while having a smaller screen of 2.8" boasted 480x640 pixels & the exact same size screen on the Touch Diamond 2 had a resolution of 480x800 thats over twice as many pixels as the Legend which has a measley 320x480. Even if it does have a capacitive AMOLED screen this is disappointing from HTC & lets down what would otherwise be a perfect phone.

> In reply to discoveryrS @ 2010-02-18 02:31 from LGXS - click to readno.1 it aint a copy of the hero the legend is a much slimmer device and more powerful which means the insides must of be redisigned or it be the same thickness of hero wouldnt it lol.
No.2 the desire is nothing like the nexus. the nexus is more alike with the htc imagio if anything.
No.3 if they had reclothed the hero what would have been so wrong in that what u sayin it was a rubbish handset to start with. I'd still place it in top eight handsets on market in uk n its been out for time. until theres floods of better handsets why change something drastic. Iphone got away with it for 3years!!!........
Hero rocks n im sure legend will even more no matter what parts they share so whats the problem....

According to Sean Cooper from Engadget, the buttons are real, not touch.

> In reply to discoveryrS @ 2010-02-18 02:31 from LGXS - click to readThis is a refresh and update to the HERO, and HTC did not copy anyone, they are the original makers of the HTC HERO. Moreover, the HTC Desire is not the same as the Nexus One, it has a difference user interface: HTC SENSE. Also, the Nexus One is an ORIGINAL design/product from HTC in the first place. But without SENSE, the Nexus One and Android OS just does not shine/fucntion as bright :)

Yes!! a more pocketable phone with android and flash camera!
Thank god HTC! They realised how successful the hero was and decided to build upon it.
I was SO sick of these HUGE 3.7" phones.......

HTC you spoil us! Here I am fawning over the new Desire, then I see this one will also have fm radio, awesome! Next week I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy Spica coz they're on special, and if I can live with the 3,2 screen on that one, I will definitely move to this device as soon as it comes out. If not, I will have to fork out a bit extra for the Desire. And if I find that i don't like android, I will go for broke and get me a HD2. Either way, I think I may have a new favorite phone maker.
