HTC took the Hero "smartphone of the year"
,made it faster, smoother, flowing cover on the os,
added alot of small stuff who were missing on the hero platform' how can it go wrong ???
I JUST CAN'T WAIT !!
The Iphone 3G,HTC Hero,SE Satio and Aino are good under sunlight and they are all touch screen phones :)
since when there is clear legibility on touch screen phone. get this part clear you people.
anyway personally find legend darn ugly
i'll wait for desire
Finally after reading the Review of the Nexus One and the poor performance of the Amoled screen under sunlight, knowing the Legend will have the same Amoled screen I would rather get an X10 or Hero
It's still way more pocket friendly than X10 or Desire ;)
But yes with all that wasted surface they could have done it with 3.3 or 3.4'' instead of 3.2'' screen
why don't they try to make this phone a little smaller ?
there are 12mm above the display, an 8mm gap between the android keys and the htc-phone button and a big area around the tracking device.
don't waste that much room in my pocket ! .. ;-)
to add to the list on why this is better than hero is cos it supports 16gb, hero only supported up to 2gb:(
I have a SE Aino right now and I want to get an Android sooner or later, dunno if I wait for the Legend or get the Hero right now :/
Legend is pretty same look as the Hero but with:
-Better screen with 16M colors instead of 65k
-Perhaps better video recording
But the Hero is certainly cheaper than an upcoming phone like Legend and it can be rooted easily...
Also LED screen like the Legend's one would not be bad under sunlight?
YESSSS!!!! I just read that the HTC legend is headed over to sprint as the Hero 2!!! They will probally get rid of the ugly chin but that's a plus...now my only problem is figuring out do I want to get rid of my Blackberry tour...
this will be the perfect phone i am definatly gona get this it's just a hero made perfect, the only thing that was wrong with hero was onli up to 2gb micro sd ,flash, trackball and some orther minor issues
Eddie, 21 Feb 2010i think HTC does that because of the limitations of the Android OSThis isn't due to the limitations of Android as both the Desire & Nexus One have a screen resolution of 480x800 on their 3.7" screens. Perhaps HTC have taken this retrograde step on the Legend just to make these more expensive phones seem all the better. Come on HTC sort it out!
all specifications are good, but core speed should have been more..
Can anyone explain to me why HTC has gone backwards (not even stayed the same) 2 yrs on in terms of display resoloution on this size phone. The Touch Diamond while having a smaller screen of 2.8" boasted 480x640 pixels & the exact same size screen on the Touch Diamond 2 had a resolution of 480x800 thats over twice as many pixels as the Legend which has a measley 320x480. Even if it does have a capacitive AMOLED screen this is disappointing from HTC & lets down what would otherwise be a perfect phone.
discoveryrS, 20 Feb 2010This is a HERO with AMOLED capacitive touchscreen,,, HTC is making copies ,, The HTC desire is... moreno.1 it aint a copy of the hero the legend is a much slimmer device and more powerful which means the insides must of be redisigned or it be the same thickness of hero wouldnt it lol.
No.2 the desire is nothing like the nexus. the nexus is more alike with the htc imagio if anything.
No.3 if they had reclothed the hero what would have been so wrong in that what u sayin it was a rubbish handset to start with. I'd still place it in top eight handsets on market in uk n its been out for time. until theres floods of better handsets why change something drastic. Iphone got away with it for 3years!!!........
Hero rocks n im sure legend will even more no matter what parts they share so whats the problem....
