> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-12-28 12:59 from u1vj - click to readSome Magic's like the Asian ones are locked with no Market as well. The HTC upgrade 3.0.5 something puts Sense UI on your Magic. You will need to revert to Android Cupcake created for MyTouch or T-Mobile US phones then root your OS. From there upgrade to Froyo though better to go to Eclair as it will respond better.

Did they add the 3.5mm jack yet to the HTC Magic. I am thinking of buying one but not sure yet?

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-12-28 12:59 from u1vj - click to readyou can't. htc magic would never get an update to froyo (in fact many of the newer models like legend, hero wouldn't get it too)

> In reply to mr seven @ 2010-10-27 00:54 from Pugd - click to readGoogle "CyanogenMod wiki". Find your way to the Magic page, and instructions will be there. Or just google "HTC Magic rooting" and all will be revealed.

> In reply to htc lover @ 2010-12-19 12:37 from u1ws - click to readMy Magic is running CyanogenMod 6.1, which is built from Android 2.2.1, and will probably have Android 2.3 soon. LOVE the phone and LOVE the freedom of flashing new ROMs as they come out. Don't let "rooting" or "bricking" put you off, it's very easy to do and I've never had to return a phone in my life so who cares about the warrant, anyway? ;-) Seriously though, if it has a factory defect you can reflash stock ROM or if it's properly broken they won't be able to tell which ROM you had on anyway.
