"Please help me... I'm using a Nokia N70 at the moment and I am due for an upgrade. I am interested in the HTC Meteor? Is it a nice phone, should I go for it or go for the Nokia N73?? Thanks!"

The MTeoR is outdated meanwhile, consider the S630 or S710 instead.

I've had this phone for about 7 months now and the joystick has been acting up lately. It sometimes doesn't respond in two directions (up and left) and has become very annoying.
HTC dealers say it needs a new motherboard.
does anyone have any info or ideas on this?
thanks..

I have only one issue with this phone - the battery SUCKS! if you are a medium user and spend 1-1.5hrs on the phone per day - then steer clear. this phone will last a few hrs.

Battery life was great, but since a needed service have had to replace my battery with a brand new one and still not getting anywhere near the 220 hours standby as advertised - any suggestions around the settings. Have already tried to turn off 3G to save the battery but little or no improvement.
Cheers

Absolutely stunning phone - far exceeded expectations and beats Nokia hands down. Still learning all the intricies of the phone.

Just a question:

MTeoR support microSDIO wi-fi cards?

I've got an i-mate JAM and thinking of changing to the MTeor, mainly because I'm tired of losing the stylus. Please tell me if it can do the same things

Just upgraded my Vodacom contract..had a choice between HTC MTeor and Nokia N73..selected the MTeor, the most comprehensive basic smart business phone, ie: cell+PDA combined..great phone, only regrets are the word, excel doc cannot be edited, can only be viewed..I would have liked a built-in radio like the N73 which is by all accounts a very good phone..your choice depends upon your preference.

This is a great phone! I don't think I will need another for several years. I actually purchased the Cingular 3125 but I am not a flip phone kind of guy, so I gave it to my wife and picked up this MTeoR beauty. I was a little concerned about whether or not all the features would work on Cingular's USA network. After a little frustration speaking with reps from the Cingular store (which they had the wrong information), I searched the web and found that all the settings can be added to an unlocked MTeoR. It only took a little while to get it set up. I found information to help me on the following site: http://www.smartphonethoughts.....php?t=7092. So if you want a compact, PDA style phone, this HTC smartphone is the one for you. Plus, you can download some cool software for the phone on www.handango.com. Enjoy!!

Nice phone but the battery life is disgusting! It lasts for approximately 5 hours and that is on a Sunday when I made about 3 calls. During the week, it is worse. I am handing the phone back as it is useless for business ( I have to charge it every few hours during the day.) I had the TYTN before this one and also handed it back due to the poor battery life.
