Hey if any one want to buy M8 Eye remember one thing. If u want to apply duo effects after taking pics(applying bokeh etc) ,remember the final edited pic will be saved in less resolution in 4 MP photo size.So if want 13 MP can go for E8 dual SIM If u r particular about duo can,go for Original M8 which has lots packed in.
I bought M8 eye. It's Good. But I feel M8 is better than to buy M8 Eye.Because No NFC.No IR.No MHL.No Barometer. Why HTC has cut soo many features.Only Left with one plus ie 13 MP Cam.For duo effects we apply after the picture is taken. So image is saved with less resolution.People better go for M8.First is always best.
Tutul, 30 Oct 2014It is not Processor, its Chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800Sorry my bad I meant SoC only.

bought this phone yesterday.
Its surprising that the magnetic compass doesn't work properly considering this is a flagship phone of htc.
The camera is worse than 4 times cheaper micromax a110q which i owned earlier.
Incoming calls get disconnected on their own but i believe this is manufacturing defect.

M8 eye has snapdraagon 801 and NFC but no Infrared port. Confirmed from top hands on reviewers.
It's snapdragon 800.. I had called their customer support centre, they confirmed it has 800.. No NFC or IR blaster..
That's the main reason for the price cut and why the older version is still more expensive..
UCGILL, 26 Oct 2014its 800. http://www.htc.com/in/smartphones/htc-one-m8-eye/It's a bit confusing as I have words with HTC support, and they have denied to officially comment on the error/difference in Spec and Info about chip-set, but it seems that it has 800 chip-set.
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2014Hi! Processor of this phone is snapdragon 801 not snapdargon 800its 800. http://www.htc.com/in/smartpho...-one-m8-eye/
FM, 24 Oct 2014Thank you for your reply. Can you please tell me which processor you got, Snapdragon 801 or Sn... moreAs mentioned in the data sheet, this phone has SNAPDRAGON 800 processor only - Just Guys check this before buying. SNAPDRAGON 800 & 801 are quite similar in performance so user will not feel the difference. Also it is to mention that in retail market HTC M8 EYE it costs only 36K while M8 original version still costs 40K. Go for older one with ultrapixel camera, NFC, IR Blaster & you will really appreciate HTC. A big NO to HTC M8 EYE.
