I'm gonna be giving a full review about my experience with this device. Ears with me.. BEFORE YOU START READING, note that everything else is pefect. An overall experience with the device is good, very good. It just has some few problems here and there which we love complaining about.
So since day one, the main problem was the battery. After updating the phone a couple of updates then formating it, the battery is now fine. Averaging 4-5 Hours of Screen-on-time. And a total of 23 hours away from charges.
Now, the heating problems. The phone seems to be doing fine. It can get a little bit annoying after some gaming, but, as long as you're using normal stuff, feel free to do use the phone without worring about heating problems. The only time which I faced a serious heating issue is when i turned on high device accuracy and used Uber and the weather was soaking hot and the phone was left in durect sunlight for about 10-15 minutes. So it was a pretty normal for the phone to get that hot. It cools again very fast easily..
Another problem how the screen is very easily scratchable. This is a problen that really bothered me.. If you get this phone please for the sake of god, get a screen protector because placing a scratch on the phone would be such a pain in the ass specially if it was your first week if usage.
Now the king of issues. THE SOFTWARE ULDATES! I DON'T NOW WHAT THE HTC team is upto, but they don't seem to give a sh** about this phones updates. It used to get updates every once in a while, now they seem they've forgot about this device.
Android N is already on the way for M9 and M8 and M9+ still didnt get the Marshmallow yet..
Another thing that doesn't seem to bother me a lot is that this device isn't such a beast with heavy games. It would totally run a casual game very well. But if you throw a heavy game on the device, it may stutter every now and then. But it's totally okay for heavy games too.. I'm not into heavy gaming on mobile though so it isn't a problem for me. I usually play Clash Royale and similar ganes which are pretty easy on the device.
Another problem is very silly ,yet, sometimes annoying... So, despite the stunning beauty of this device, it seems to be suffering from an issue called Gap Gate, which first was introduced in the Samsung Note 4. The upper edges and the back camera seem to have a very tiny gap which is the best home for dust and other small particles. You'll have a hard time getting out those nearly visible particles if you're OCD about keeing your phone clean, especially when your device is such a goregeous beast.
Sorry for the long post i like giving full info in case someone cares..
