can someone explain how i can find my processor is s3 or s4?
plz it is important!
the only thing that i know is the gpu is adreno220!
but antutu dosen't show the type of processor!why?

Also, since it will be updated from its current ICS 4.0.4 to 4.1, the performance will further enhance many folds. Heating has never been much of a problem and max temperature reading I have got is 42.0 deg C.

For those who are facing any problem with your One S consider updating the firmware to the latest. Most of the time that solves the problem. Just don't misguide people by saying it is a bad phone when it is a gem.

I'm using the One S (S3 processor) since beginning of November. I must say that HTC has indeed done an excellent job with the design of the phone. Many say that S3 processor (1.7 GHz) is slow and the phone hangs.
However, I must clarify that inspite of playing resource hungry games like Ingress, Temple Run 2, Beach Buggy, F18 Flight Simulator, Train Sim simulator etc. I have never come across a single instance of the phone slowing down let aside hanging.
As far as the battery is concerned, on using Idea 3G through the day with auto sync (mails, weather etc.) and whats app, with which the battery lasts around 22 hrs between charges. Prior to this phone used Nokia's flagship camera phone N73 ME with Carl Zeiss lens and I must say that this one is the only phone in true sense which is better than that.
Music is average and could be better (maybe due to stock headset). Sense 4.1 from HTC does not have any bugs and does not make the phone seem laggy. Camera interface is brilliant and with burst mode and panoroma it gets even better.
Sunlight visibility is excellent and touch screen is extremely responsive.
Finally, I must say that I do not regret buying HTC One S with S3 processor and for those who think S4 is better, think again and do not miss the opportunity.
Just consider, I don't even have to reboot my phone once in a week due to slowing or hanging.
I believe that says it all.

My handset is a mess and am hating at the moment. It made an automatic restart and wiped off all my contacts. Now the screen won't go to sleep. Tried rebooting and clearing the cache but nothing help. ANyone has an idea on how to sort this thing out, especially the non-sleeping screen that uses up a lot of my battery power.

GUys..m using this phone...its just awsm...soo fast...
gaming rocks in this set...
all d features are too goof...
compared to samsung galaxy s2,i give one S 9.5 out f ten whereas S2 gets 9
i think looks do matter odrs than specs...
and ONE S is a handset that is just perfect

so is HTC ONE discontinue internationally?cause i only see that the htc one s is only discontinue in verizon orange etc. but i want to ask if it is discontinue literally?and the says that the one s have no issue and saying hes having it I jus want to say LOL.

Being a Taiwanese, I'm ashamed that HTC lied to it's customers about the new S4 that was going to be in the HTC One S. I bought the phone in Taiwan a month after it came out, only to find that my version was the old S3 processor. Huge Letdown D:
