I played around with a One V yesterday and I was not impressed with the internet performance. In you are not on mobile pages then scrolling around is jerky.

I really liked the way the phone looked even though it is very large for a 3.7" device.

> In reply to grip @ 2012-05-12 15:31 from 2@HF - click to readDeath grip is where the antenna is placed at the bottom of the phone and when you hold the phone with your hand over it the signal drops. It happens on this phone even in strong coverage. HTC will never learn to use proper antenna design. And please don't tell me my unit is faulty or I am making it up. I ain't. The signal drops coz I hold the phone at the bottom like you do naturally with a phone and the signal drops down alot. The antenna is in the plastic part at the bottom where you put sum card and SD slot. I live in strong coverage

Is it a metal body? I am asking this because, basically metal bodies release heat quickly and makes the phone hot while charging and in continues using. It happens with wave models, so please clarify this.

> In reply to hi, @ 2012-05-12 16:15 from 0C3G - click to readhi,
Htc one v is excellent phone,so many people r blaming Htc v & writing fake comments, dont believe it,i am in Qatar,we r 3 persons using this phone,no more problems reported,..if u want perfect budget phone, use it,,

Understand that you and your friends having no issues with the handset doesn't mean that no one else should have any trouble with it. This is a public forum, you'll find all sorts of feedback on the phone here.

Just as a negative feedback doesn't effect your experience, all the positive feedbacks here won't resolve the issues being faced by users.

From what I've seen here, most of the people having trouble (LCD Discoloration, Dead phones) with the HTC One V seem to be from India. Maybe they ended up with a faulty shipment!

The LCD Discoloration issue was also mentioned in the Engadget review here http://www.engadget.com/2012/0...ne-v-review/

So it isn't all fake.

Good phone on the whole, just a little expensive considering the hardware included. But the quality issues mean getting a good phone in some parts of the world is a bit of a lottery.

> In reply to Gifty @ 2012-05-11 12:50 from rJ6X - click to readgo for the sony...you really wouldn't want to risk getting a HTC One V with LCD Discoloration or one that dies on you and then having to run around the service center & retailer just to get a replacement.

> In reply to arun @ 2012-05-11 16:31 from tT}w - click to readyou get similar hardware for a lower price, the only thing that this phone has which most other don't have at the moment is Android 4.0 ICS out of the box. you have to decide if you want to spend INR 3-4k extra for just ICS which may other devices will be getting in due course anyway.

besides theres the issue of yellow discoloration on the LCD, phones dying...you may not face these, there are plenty of happy users here...but is it a risk worth taking?
