Back again to you...
Still having nice time with the V, here are some info..
* Please forgive me about the order because I write what I remember first.. so i am very sorry about that..
1- The phone is fast enough for your daily use but it is not a jet phone at all.
2- STILL CAN NOT FIND the rest of the 4GB internal memory.. 1GB for apps and 100MB for data.
3- The notification light is AMAZING and very clear and strong.
4- The phone runs live wallpapers ok but in the personalise menu you can only find regular wallpapers but you can access live wallpapers through an installed one application icon.
5- Sound quality during calls is totally ok and the loud speaker is loud enough to make people ask to lower the sound a bit!!!
6- Accessing the messages and phone book is fast, i say that because phone book on my Wildfire S looked heavy and slow.
7- I have checked HTC page and no compass sensor listed, the compass is a typical "compass" we use to know real directios, or applications that called "metal detectors" use, but most of us don't care about that option, we are real phone users not a show-off guys :)
8- Still can not judge the battery life because it is the first charge and first day and I keep playing and exploring aaaaaall the time.
9- Angry Birds Space runs PERFECTLY.
10- The phone DO HAVE FM RADIO with good sound and style.
11- The loudspeaker volume for phone ringer is good and the speaker sound itself is very good and deep.
12- Didn't find any problem untill now, but sometimes I feel that HTC should have worked a little bit more on the phone finish.
13- The "chin" is not that ugly or annoying, you will not even notice it.
14- The camera options are VERY AMAZING, but the photos itself I give it 60%, the flash is strong and the video recording is OK.
15- The camera is fast, starts fast and shoots fast and focuses fast, not very fast but toooo fast for a 1GHZ single core phone like this.
16- My biggest problem, I sent and recieved via bluetooth to and from my Wildfire S (bluetooth 4.0) very normal, but i have tried that with Nokia 5800 (bluetooth 2.0) recieved ok but I can not send ok, the Nokia disonnects and recieves corrupted data.
17- The screen is very good, and no touch response problems untill now.
18- ICS is a bit different than older Android vensions you will have to spend some time to get used to it.
19- The GPS antenna is THE BEST, very very fast and very sensitive.
20- Generally the phone feels solid.
mmmmmmm, that's all up to the moment, if you have any questions please feel free to ask..

And yes ofcourse it can send hundreds of group messages in a single touch.
How the SD in the htc 1v is activated? Since I have transferred the songs via Bluetooth all of them are stored in the phone memory once it is full the transfer is becoming unsucessful... Let me know the procedure to handle the SD....

I used GPS while map navigation. What's digital compass and what's the use of it?
There are plenty of apps in "Google Play" related to Digital Compass, but what's the built-in sensor for it?
People are complaining that One V does not have digital compass, is that true?
Digital compass is mentioned in the specs.
TOTALLY WRONG MWC 2012: HTC overview information on the HTC One V. :|
Went to buy Blackberry and ended up buying HTC One V. Value for money, camera is good. Could not look for other products with Android 4.0 for this value. The one problem which I am facing is the battery backup. Also the Headphone's and Charger's wire could have been a little lengthy. The wires are too short.
ahonda55,pls share your experience while using the phone....update if any problems if you ve faced any?
I am surveying & looking in depth specs of all the contemporary phones. Looks to me that there is a meagre choice as compared to HTC One V. Absolute value for money for the specs offered. Baring couple of manufacture defects that some have faced -- which could as well be replaced, seems to be an absolute flier! Though the value could have been added by overcoming niches like -- putting some more ram, atleast a front VGA camera & removing the chin -- the gadget could had become a beast to beat!!! I do agree of a few shortcomings that could be easily overlooked!
However requesting Weedss to comment upon following two points as has been using the phone & I want to buy today by evening -- urgent please:
(1) The overall durability of battery as it comes in a single piece. How many years on an avg does the battery functions & if wears; whether could be replaced!!!
(2) The no of messages that could be sent at a time, meaning whether it could send 100-200 messages on a single click if such big groups are made?
Expecting an expedited retort from you?
And the internal memory is NOT 4GB, it is almost 1100MB!
100MB for user data and 1GB for apps and pre installed ones, shame on you HTC to lie ;)
I feel like HTC saved a lot of options to reduce the phone price, no headset at all for example, but this is not a big problem, the phone itself is not bad and not good, been using it for about 6 hours, i feel good enough to say buy the phone if you need cheap and good phone.
The GPS antenna is IMPRESSIVE, i am getting 5 sats inside home in just a glance!! IMPRESSIVE
Can't tell about battery yet, WiFi reception is not very good and the Wildfire S was a bit better because the antenna is the small cover we remove to insert the SIM and SD cards..
weedss, 12 Apr 2012HELP!!
Any one v user please tell me how to set the default storage for Bluetooth transferre... moreI got the phone few hours ago!!!
I also want to set the downloads folder like my old Wildfire S!!
Also, I have big problem in bluetooth, when i send or recieve anything to my Wildfire S it goes perfect, but, i tried to send a photo and a song to Nokia 5800, data is corrupted, and i can recieve normally from the Nokia. So strange.. i have heared about bluetooth issues like that but i think it is not a problem, it could be non compatible bluetooth versions.
Any one v user please tell me how to set the default storage for Bluetooth transferred files to sd card?..
Plz reply ASAP.
