Why why why a omap 200Mhz processor.
It is a nice ppc with wifi, gps, gsm etc.
but why a 200 mhz processor ?
Dont touch it!!!! The 200MHZ processor will drive you crazy. You can make yourself dinner while waiting.

For those in need of more info for this PC pocket, here is a great link on it:
Few things to note, the weight is only 126 gramms which is unheard of for a size of this unit. It is also only 16.8 mm in thickness which is again one of the thiniest units around. The only other PDA unit that is similar is the O2 Orbit.
HTC comes with the pre installed AKU 3.0 software kit and TOMTOM Navigator 6. Something very few other PDA units have. I did a comparison wih the Orbit from the same site and have the link here for you;
As you can see alot of the specifications are identical accept for very few little things. I believe that these 2 units are on top of the class as far as weight, size, performance, style and being GPS ready.
How do we know the processor is only a 200Mhz wimp ? The marketing hype is extremely frustrating - no reliable details, yet the blogs keep telling us the product is officially released.
Whenever this happens (and Microsoft has evolved this FUD technique to an art form), I believe instantly that the missing details are not selling points
What chip is the GPS receiver, exactly ?
I bet any replies to this are not from HTC
200MHz sux, do not even condider this junk. The fact that the company try to hide basic tech info about their own product is totally unexeptable - I guess companies imitating Sony and Dell now.
Retailing from October 2006, the HTC P3300 will be available with a "taster pack" of regional maps or as a full version pre-loaded with a complete set of maps for Western Europe. The HTC P3300 taster pack will retail for around 499 Euro, the complete set will retail for around 679 Euro.
but i wana ask if this mobile have a GPS work and can show your position without any using any Accessories like ETEN G500 or not?
Can somebody give me a tecnical explnation of the working of the processor (200mhz).Is it a duo ??? And is he to slow for Voip?
Its owsome! Looks very good and nice features too. Very good for professionals like me, but I need to confirm price 1st and the standby time before i say Yes to it.
I curently use the IMATE JAMiN // i guess the phone that i see here is too similar to the one i hav with respect to specifications. I Swear it looks kool. But who wud wanna spend money just for the looks specially if u r planning to buy a PDA. Coming to the most critical point in the discussion. I just Googled the phone n found it duz hav a 200 Mhz processor which again is the same that my phone has. And i'd say its not bad but a fairly slow processor compared to the ATOM. I think they need to come up wid a faster processor n RAM. Plz post any difference in opinion
About the P3300 processor 200MHZ
See for yourself RK
Hello RK ,about the 200mhz PROCESSOR! It is on every web,it is just a matter of (open your eyes).
About its processor speed (200MHz):
And possible lack of WLAN:
So, it might be weak and common but with a new and nice plastic case (at least first version for 2006). If all these Pocket PCs (and smart phones) on market are manufactured in the same area (and the hardware designed by the same people), I don’t wonder why there is no competition and slow progress.
I want to know why only the European maps on the Unit for GPS,what about USA and CANADA, as well, how does one get that ?
where did you get that it's only 200MHz? I couldn't find processor speed listed anywhere, not even on the HTC website.
