guys, think a lot before u go for this mobile. this might be cool to see. but compare the options with other mbiles. WI-FI is there in this mobile. not only wi-fi compare the other features and then only go for ths.

This is KC again. As I am impressed by HTC P3400 so far and is also familier how HTC devices work, I am already planning to upgrade to another HTC (or Dopod) phone which offers more or better features than P3400. Any recommendations? I use lot of Internet and Outlook email access on road.

I have used this phone for over two weeks now. Agreeing to what everyone else seems to be mentioning here, this is really a worth of money (I bought it in Delhi for Rs 14000). The GPRS works fine and with Google provided pages, searching and surfing is very data miser.

I have Windows Vista on my laptop. The provided software ActiveSync doesn't install as it detects it automatically on vista. However, I had been having a tough time in making data transfer, program installtion on my HTC as vista simply doesn't do. Only thing it is allowing is synchronization of music through Windows Media Player which I hate as I prefer to simply insert the SD card in my laptop and store whatever I want in it and push it back in HTC.

Other than that, I had been able to connect my office Outlook Exchange server in no time and have access on my office mails anywhere, without involving my office systems team for any configuration apart from SMTP address.

Be careful not to use Hutch if you want to go for GPRS as that brings a big pocket hole. If you intend to do more net surfing on this, check Airtel options.

In nutshell, great phone, justified price. Only technical people will be able to play with ActiveSync effectively, but that should not be a hinderence in buying this as there are hardly very few dependencies on ActiveSync.

Cheers,
KC

hi Nitesh,

now its bein sold for 14,200 in major showrooms in Chennai

u have option of buying Dopod D600 or HTC P3400 for the same price. actually both are the same.

HTC is branded as Dopod.
