IMPO, Best WM device to buy!
Yes its only 400MHz proc, but matched with QVGA screen makes excellent performance. Dedicated graphic (ATI Imageon) chip with no multimedia problems as with Kaiser or Touch Cruise. Any newer HTC device cannot match its build quality (only HTC Kaiser perhaps). Has everything you need in therms of conectivity (BT, Infrared, Wifi, HSDPA). Have it for 1 year now and it still is rock solid. Only issues were related to paint peeling of cover of first manufactured devices, but were resolved in later builds (personal experience, changed cover and no more peel offs).
Excellent sound and speaker, nice screen, lots of hardware buttons, scroll wheel, D-pad (can you imagine gaming of emulator games without it on newer devices??), battery of nice 1500mAH! Cmon manufacturers - please make future devices better - stop thinking just how to decrease manufacturing costs!

> In reply to CJ @ 2009-04-17 22:30 from 0UPD - click to readthe memory is about 128 MB. But it's divided for Windows Mobile, programs and stockage ( i dont know the word in english). if you wanna free up some space, you can delete the programs, the email attachemens, the sms and the contacts.

I've own the phone since 2007. it was 450 euros without tax at that time. The phone is great. My only problem is the battery. It does not last long. Of course after two years of use, the battery needed to be replaced. The original battery now only lasts about less than a day. With the nature of my work, I make outgoing calls about 10 hours/month, excluding SMS and 3G use. I bought three batteries from ebay about 3 dollars each.
The memory is shared for SMS/MMS and Phonebook. After my SMS box contains about 6000 messages (Inbox and Sent Box), I need to delete them periodically. This happens lets say, one every 6 months.
The plastic part of the housing is easily scratch. I bought an original housing from ebay but till this day I am unable to replace it by myself. I think I'll have someone replace it.

already owned this phone 1 half years. no problems at all, battery is still decent (phone can lives until 2 days). Upgradeable up to Windows Mobile 6.5 (unofficial of course). complete connection (from Infra red till WI-fi and also GPS). No built in keypad can be solved using virtual keypad. I like it very much :)
Note: if you owned the black one, please be careful because the paint is not as good as the white one

This is one of the best mobile from HTC. It has all the requirement of what a pocket PC can perform.

top of the line! have the dopod d810 white version running on wm6.1 with manila 2D. no hang ups whatsoever! gps locks quicker than n95 classic... only drawback is no flash and fm radio... but i can live without those perks!
