Vulcan, 13 May 2011hi everybody. They tell its internal memory is not sufficient for storing downloaded apps but ... more@Vulcan: Some apps cannot be moved to SD card, like google maps, facebook, adobee flash, sonos controller etc. My HTC Desire has already run out of space because of which I'm forced to upgrade so soon. I hope 1GB is enough, because I love HTC phones & have pre-ordered the sensation.
Anonymous, 13 May 2011Pre order my one and been told it should be with me on the 16thof may What network let you preorder it? Vodafone?
Vulcan, 13 May 2011hi everybody. They tell its internal memory is not sufficient for storing downloaded apps but ... moreYes you are right the more apps you download to the phone the LESS shared memory you have.
I will tell you what I do know.
Sometimes downloaded apps can ONLY be placed onto the phone memory they is NO option to save it elsewhere.
However on my Nokia I never tried to directly D/L to the phone via USB, I d/l the apps to my computers desktop then I moved it to the memory card. I installed it again on the memory card never on the phone.
Now i dont't know the size of the apps you intend to d/l they may be small in regards to the 1Gb so may not make that much of a difference.
This option did work for me, it may be that d/l apps must be saved to a hard drive of sorts.
Finally what you should realise that it is extremely important to use the highest rating class microsd card.
Going back to Nokia the N900 uses the MEEGO system and it recognised there may lags if you use LESS than a class 6 card, The processor is not slow just accessing the information on the card, A class 6 is 3 times "faster" (see wiki) than a class 2.
In short what I am saying is that if you connect the phone and d/l direct there may be no option to store it onto the microsd, apps I d/loaded to memory cards worked but that was "another model" I'm sounding like an advert sorry.
I'm sorry, but where is HTC revolution?
New LockScreen? It's almost the same as NokiaBubbles from BetaLabs.
since i have been using HTC HD2 T-mobile and no complaint at all....later i was attracted by SGS2 but if the price is lower than SGS2...i must go to sensation....coz it's a quality device.....
this will be the phone of 2011! desire s also an extremely great phone.
Vulcan, 13 May 2011hi everybody. They tell its internal memory is not sufficient for storing downloaded apps but ... moreAs I noticed, even your froyo or above, some apps cannot be transfer/send to sd card... It depends on the apps it self,
Pre order my one and been told it should be with me on the 16thof may
hi everybody. They tell its internal memory is not sufficient for storing downloaded apps but i thought apps would b stored on SD card. Can somebody clearify my doubt...
pravin, 11 May 2011hi i am big fan of htc last phone i used was htc desire hd.i got damaged by my mistake.wating ... morepre order now for 19th may delivery with vodafone or june with the other networks
pravin, 11 May 2011hi i am big fan of htc last phone i used was htc desire hd.i got damaged by my mistake.wating ... more19th may 2011 1 week from today Vodafone contract @ £35 24 months. Also sim free play.com but from 30/06! Again what I suggest is google searches daily as this is NOT going 2 B limited 2 one outlet with specs like these. GSMARENA has this slated for a MAY release and attention seems 2 B focussed on the Galaxy 2. This is '1st' of duai cores launches so whilst interest is being shown by HTC owners wishing 2 upgrade, desire or knowledge is being shown by "many". That is 2 say those who want 2X Core have familiarised themselves with all the suppliers. Information is scarce on release dates, and what I understand is a 'preorder'. It may simply B a case as 2 who gets their phones into the shops 1st, due to parity of the major specifications, as 2 who gets the sale with 8Mp & 1.2Ghz the best on offer. Switching brands rather than waiting 4 any particular brand.
kruths, 09 May 2011it cant beat samsung galaxy s2 in anyway.S2 is way ahead...Its performance that counts...you can have all the hardware but end of the day its software to hardware transition.....adding a list of features can fill a spec sheet, and broaden the paying price. I think that we might another winner just like Desire. look for the desire. Its about 15 months going and still shows the way its done
Yes.I'm with you htc guys.sensation is a lot better than that old IPHONE 4.
