Hey, this phone should be called MINI LAPTOP. It got Intel processor just like normal pc. It just a bit smaller than netbook. It had no difference between a NETBOOK. Congrats HTC!

You can make voice calls - but you need to use a handsfree kit - there is no built in mic / ear piece. also there is a 3G SIM slot... whoever thiks there isn't, is a complete numpty...

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-06-22 17:08 from P@Td - click to readhi, i don't think HTC Shift supports voice call. If you're sure it supports it, please advise us how to make it call via GSM network (not via Internet/Skype...). Thanks!

it says: No voice calls, data transfer only. So I guess you can't call with it. I'm not 100% sure tho. Try searching for it in some store or something and check it out. Better to ask someone who knows.

Actually this device has got GPS, and you can make phone calls with it. But only with a cooked ROM. The lack of wifi on the WinMo side is bizarre though.
Oh, and Windows 7 rund like a dream!

ONE MORE THING:
You don't need a cell phone service with this device because the speed of the Sprint's internet is more than fast enought for Broadband Telephone Companies such as VONAGE! ( Sprint's download speed is at least 1MB per second).
HTC SHIFT'S PROS:
- 2.0 regular USB ( you can connet: Sprint's USB modem chip, optical computer mice, and anything else you would connect to a regular PC!)
- 1 GB RAM!!!! ( just like on my 15 inch screen ACER PC)
- EXTERNAL TOUCH-SCREAN DISPLAY!
WHAT ELSE CAN YOU WISH FROM A MOBILE PC?
1) Make Calls (Vonage $33 month service can let you call to 60 countries!)
2) Store plenty of applications
3) Always cary the device with you!
