jai please read a few topics down, you will find some sites to download a few free apps such as a basic version of paint as well as a few others. Things like the full screen keyboard need to be purchased.

I have been using this phone now for a few weeks, if your not a looking for an out and out business pda, then this is the phone is just the thing. sync the phone to microsoft's media player and away you go. the sound is spot on when listening to music either from the speaker or earphones (just remember it depends on the level of the tracks already on your computer). To responf to a comment made about the touch not having handwriting recog. - read the bloody manual of course it has jandwriting recog. ps you can buy spare original batteries on ebay - about £2.50each and £7.00 pp, also you can get a stand-alone battery charger for a great price too.

@ Kkool - devicewire.co.uk have this phone in both Black and Green.
I recieved mine from them a day after ordering from them.
It is sim free!

For the people who wine about the speed of the TI processor. It's more the enough.
if you fancy that the speed is too low for your likings, you can "overclock" it to ±310mHz. Mine is set at 299mHz when in heavy usage, but mainly runs at 201mHz.

I've been trying to get this phon (as an upgrade) on O2 network. The only provider in UK with this set is Orange and they only sell in shops!!!

If you go to pocetgear.com, you can download a free version of a paint software (paintwinCE v1).
spbsoftwarehouse.com has a full screen keyboard available for download.
Over all, nice phone.
Not the best camera though.

here's some answers on things that wer asked on previous comments
- www.pocketpcsoft.net has alot of software for windows mobile. If that doesn't help. go search on google for "pocket pc software". Things will show up.
- It doesn't have interal GPS
- SMS tone can be set in the "sound and notification" menu under settings. go 2 the tap "notifications" and select "messaging: New Text Message" from the drop down list.
- U dail a number by pressing the green button on the bottom of the phone. Or the fancy way would b by sliding your finger from the bottom 2 the top of the screen and going 2 the speed dail sortof screen and selecting the phone icon. That's when ur keypad appears.

hi, i get this error whenever I switch ON the mobile.
"Current setting dont match the active network in use. 40445 is not supported. OBtain update from device vendor".
What does this mean? The phone however works fine...but i get this error everytime.

This phone is Quad Band 850-900-1800-1900 from factory even though the htc site says otherwise. i dont know what these taiwanese are doing. we have tested in 850 mhz only country Panama with Movistar and Cable Wireless and with 850mhz Tigo in Honduras. PHONE IS QUAD BAND!!!!

help!! i'm in asia (taiwan) and i really want to get this phone but they only sell it in chinese. some retailers have said that they can install an english program but it has known to crash. what should i do? i'm worried about the unreliability of the phone.
