Sushanth, Why you need CD to put software and music into the HTC. Just download activesync 4.5 from the net and connect your HTC and find your storage card and copy anything you like. Quick question guys (those who have one and are using it),

given that the screen is 2.8", which is about the same size as the TyTN/Imate Jasjam, how diffcult is it to use the touch screen with your fingers? I ask this because the previous phones with the same screen size utilized a stylus which is significantly slimmer than a finger. Any navigation issues? Any issues typing sms/emails or in word through the pop up qwerty?

Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I;m going to help you all out with all your questions. Goto to www.xda-developers.com, click on forums and look for the HTC Elf. Here will help you with the weather for more than the listed cities and setup for various networks. I have had this phone for a couple of months now and love it. I have it on cincinnati Bell Wireless and have had it on Tmobile USA networks.

Does it have handwriting recognition. I mean, like some PDAs, where we can write anywhere on the screen with the stylus and the words just show up on-screen automatically.

Does it support such a function, or do we need to use the tiny virtual on-screen keyboard "only"? :-(

just picked up my Smart Phone yesterday and am very impressed, loaded with many features.

Bought from Vodafone for $186 AUD on my super cap ($79 pm) plan which now includes 100 minutes Vodafone to Vodafone customers for free.

Set my Wifi up which will deliver so much mobility for keeping in touch with emails etc.

Well done HTC.....a very good over all package!

@ Magma.

The sound quality of the speakers is more the sufficient.
Sure it doesn't compare to the SE speakers from the W-series. But with a little tweaking in the registry here and there and the max. volume can be increased without wrecking the speaker coil.

I've had several phones.
This HTC (with t-mobile MDA) Touch's speaker is more then enough.

The camera however is rubbish at low light scenes.
My Nokia N91 has a better 2mp camera then the HTC touch.
But at normal lighting it's okay.

Hope to have answered your questions.

Apart from the feel, the speed and all.
Only few have actually review the camera func/quality and the sound/speaker.

Can someone do a thorough test and share with me/us on the outcome?

I am really considering getting this Touch. But am not convinced yet. Cos I've been using PPCs like O2 XDA, O2 mini, O2 Stealth, and HP rw6828 and I am not impressed with the cam quality and the speakers. (tell me if its wrong to have it compared wit any standard SonyEric phones)

Advice please.Thanks

Marius:
I don't think it's the phone. Call your T-Mobile service.

For those that prefer using a t9 keyboard, here is a link to a handy onscreen dialpad that you can use to type your texts/emails: http://www.venukb.com/mint/pep...atom_wwe.cab
