O yes the phone released in May and untill now there is NO GPS map?! i have the software loaded but it is NOT WORKING, when i cheched with HTC support they say ''because we wanted this device out asap, we did not have time to finilize the maps for this device/windows 6.1, therefore once it is ready you will be notified'' so how come they advertise and sell this phone NOT CHEAP will all the features, but untill now it is incomplete!

Had it 5 days (free from Orange) and have sent it back and dug out my old SPV M700. Battery life is appauling. Texting is poor (some kind of conversation setting under single contacts), screen is slow and versatility is poor. Looks fantastic, but if you want a reliable phone forget it. Pity really, as I hung on for the release of this. HTC have really gone down in my estimations now (last 4 phones have been HTCs). Waiting for Blackberry Bold now.

Howdi guys!
We just got the Diamond at work (phone store). First impressions, very sleek, nice edges, and (for the size of the handset) a nice size screen.
For all you iPhone lovers - yes, it's not as responsive as the iPhone. However in its defence it has the ability to do so much more. So you will be sacrficing some responsiveness for functionality.
On the responsiveness issue, I find the Diamond to pick up a lot faster than the Imate Ultimate 9502 (current handset), as well as the HTC 93600i (previous handset).
Battery life, again, most PDA styles handsets do suffer from the plague that is low battery life. However once again it is give and take, doing more = less battery. But in response to this we see (thanks to the lovely guys here at gsmarena) HTC realising a higher 1300maH battery. Ingenious!
All-in-all, my favourite PDA style that we sell at the moment. My only personal agnst is the lack of card slot, I like being able to transfer my memory card, but hey, with a 4gb internal memory, it's something I'll just have to get over!

This phone is great once you flash it with a better rom. Xda-developers is a great place to look at all the available roms that people have built and they drastically improve the performance of the phone. My phone is virtually lag free right now with the new rom. HTC did rush it but they just released a new 1.93 rom that improved the performance and they will release further ones to help address the problems users are facing.

When I'm on the home screen and tap on the People icon, it re-launches the touchflow and sends me right back to the home screen, then I can go to the people icon with no problems. It does that pretty consistently. Is anyone having the same problem? How can that get fixed? Cool phone with too many bugs.

SIMPLY : dont buy it, its my 3rd HTC phone (qtek 9100, htc tytn II) HTC is terrible, its Slowwwwwwwwwww so slowwwwwwww i own 2 iphone's 8gb and 16 gb nokia n95 first edition P990 SE and trust me HTC sucks, i got this one with my renewal of vodafone and i thought wow this looks nice and it can never be as slow as before and......... ITS slow, if you want it (2days old and give me a good bid) but you will eb sorry for buying it. Still the iphone tops them all. Its has not 3G (yet) and GPS, but for who is GPS in you phone that important????? get real (a faster internet connecting would be more welcome) but if you want a phone which is responsive : IPHONE

first of all we cant compare it to the iphone because this is a windows mobile and the other is apple . the htc diamond is very more expensive and is very slow in using applications the ram are too small and the screen is not good the iphone screen is much better
