theres nothing new in this device... 3.2 camera, a-gps, screen resolution, pea sized battery, screen color depth, OS, accelerotmeter........nothing is new except for a layer of customized navigation pasted above the windows for eaisier useage...which ultimately increases overheads for processor and ram......unlike in i-phone in which all this touch navigation is OS based....well smart try by htc but nothing new and nothing impressive......hard luck!!!

This looks very good. Pity about the battery. I think we need to know more about the spec. I mean does it have an organiser, if so carrying what features. Why only 3.2 mps camera, when the going rate is 5? Samsung need something good to exceed this. the i900 has promise but the UI needs to be pretty special.

@ ginge_uk nothing needs to beat the iphone because it already is. if ur lookin for features it sux, nokia n95 (or n95 8gb easily beat it). if u r looking for a camera phone it sux. if u r looking for a multimedia phone its alright but it lacks memory card slot(s) which most other multimedia phones hv. it is overrated and overpriced. iphone was not the first phone to hv multitouch. in fact they were not even the first to use the term multitouch. a company called stantum first used that term. as for sweep controls and navigating on the touchscreen the iphone copied a company called neonode which produced the first touchscreen with these sweeping gestures to navigate. so ur just an apple fan if u say that apple r the best because they created this technology and now ppl r copying them. if u look at the specs of this fone it also beats the iphone it has everything the iphone has at least (except less memory but that cud increase iphone also started with 4gb). u cant say the iphone is definitely better than this without even having tested it.

ginge_uk said "Ever since the iphone came out everytime a good looking touch UI mobile comes out everyone goes on that it could be the 'iphone killer' "
But the funny thing is, he's the very first one to even mention the iphone in here, lol. My advice to you ginge_uk, read the posts first and don't just assume that everyone in here thinks that all phones are after your iphone, lol.

this seems like a great phone, i really like it, but i wouldn't replace it with my N95_8GB. Still, for those who want something diffrent and also that has good performance, this is a good choice

Just wait for the Raphael announcement. It will share similar specs, use the same UI, but will have full slide-out QWERTY. Just hope for a larger battery since the phone will be closer to the Xperia's thickness. Diamond is more for the fashion conscious.
