Thanks Captain, but had few queries.
Are the softwares on XDA-developers free of bugs, i mean would there be any prolem in using after upgraing the software.

And which one to look for, in the address which u have given there are many.

The windows 6.5 upgrade is another thing. Wait for it..

But if you use cooked Roms or newer updated Roms from official websites, you more battery life and more faster performance.. Rom is an updated software or updated operating system from windows.

X1 is a great phone, but you'll find difficulties tapping the corners since the screen is lowered inside the frame. Battery life is better than the D2, but the only useful thing in X1 in my opinion is the keyboard which is too small too..
D2 has a bigger screen which makes it useful when typing on screen. You will also have a free upgrade for the D2 to windows 6.5 from the official website.

Rom in the windows Mobile world is the operating system.
And yes you have to verify your phone's region by entering your IMEI shown under the battery, or Device Information in Settings->System.

Usually you get MS MyPhone in Windows 6.5, not in D2's original 6.1..
Just sign in to your hotmail Account sync your data online using wifi or gprs or 3g from your phone...

I still haven't installed the 2.6 yet, i installed the 2.5 a month ago and wasn't pleased with it so i went back to 2.1.. It's not recommended yet.. Go for Energy Rom, its mostly recommended and updated on the 22nd of August, otherwise choose any rom you want but its too early to use the 2.6, if you want try it then give us a feedback, try another rom enjoy:

And if you want to back up your (SMS, Calls, Calendar, Tasks.. etc) Use PIMBackUp.cab, google it..

hi, just wondering when you upgrade the rom 'HTC Touch Diamond2 ROM Upgrade (Asia)' through the the htc site, does the 'asia' stating where you got the mobile from? or where you intend to use it? is there a difference in the upgrade if it was (EU) instead of (asia) cause i can't find a rom for each region...

and also.. what is a 'rom'? last time i heard roms was the nds roms for the nintendo ds...haha

I will by the DT2 tomorrow - if somebody can just confirm if I will be able to sync from my laptop my calendar (we use IBM Lotus Notes for our mail and calendar) - we do NOT use Microsoft Office Outlook which is described in the DT2 Users Manual.

If I skip the connection wizard I face this problem but once I run it things are OK and I am able to get the caller id. Try it and let me know.

hi pals,
i desperately need some one to help me with this...!
i felt like having a bit of change in the theme...
so i followed:settings,today. there were 5 different options,i chose one,..it changed..the thing is i cant have D2's original theme back!!!i awfully missed that!!!but i follow the same track,..any of them that i choose,..i wont have the first one back!!! plssssss

A quick Q:
if i install the new 2.6 Touch Flo.. do i have to reinstall all the programs and the settings over.. or everything stays the same?
and i understood from what u said earlier that the new rom is as smooth as the old one and not sluggish.. cos the video that gsmarena.com posted it looks that there is considerable lag..
i appreciate ur help Captain.. i'm waiting for ur response for these 2 points before i install the new Touch Flo on my D2..
