I just got the phone (Diamond 2) and it's the biggest regret. HTC has taken the phone 2 steps back especially in terms of being user friendly. Some examples:
1. Indicators along the top for various things like battery, phone signal strength volume etc does not work at all. I had to make several trips to telco shop - they opened 2 new sets and all had the same problem. I called HTC and visited their repair centre - only to be told it's normal!
2. You cannot select sms messages to be deleted by scrolling through them. Its either 'ALL", 'ALL BELOW" or "SEVERAL".
3. If you key wrong words in a sms, you cannot highlight the words to be deleted. The only way to do it is to backspace. So if you need to delete 10 words, it's 10 keystrokes!!!!
There's lots more I will not waste my time writing. Overall, I've never felt so frustrated buying a new phone. To make matters worse, the helpdesk don't even have a set to work on. Good thing my telco allows me to change another brand - no more HTC for me.

The alarm won't sound, while it is in sleep mode.
you need to get 3rd party alarm software to work.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-08-04 18:49 from 3pS4 - click to readYes. It is fast and its battery allows you one day's use: a little wifi, some messages and about 5 /6 phone calls. By the end of the day, you have to recharge it.
Anyway, I would advise a "test drive": try to have it in your hands, even if only for a couple of minutes (like, in a shop).
Remember, newer phones are contantly coming out and that is what capitalists and large companies want you to feel:
Unsatisfied! Like you're always outdated and you could/should constantly be buying newer and better models.
If you play their game, you'll never be happy, no matter what you buy.
First of all: Do you REALLY need a new phone? if so,try before you buy, choose wisely and you will feel happy in the long run.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-08-02 00:21 from psjX - click to readI agree it's a great phone, but they're right ehen they criticise the lack of a 3.5 audio jack as in the TouchHD.
But a great value for money phone. No doubt about it!

I urge HTC peoples to supply an standard battery of 1500 mAh to its diamond2. as they have done & supplied to diamond (1340 mAh)in India. long lasting batteries are a good selling point of a phone...
D2 is a gre8t phone to have.
