I've used handtec before. Ships out within 1-2 days and the item usually arrives within a week (To US). Great service.

instant lookin at it, this is better than my P1. The only thing that i am not impressed w/ this phone is its screen resolution with only 65K? as compared to my P1 w/ 265K.

I have this phone for 1 week already
and I want to say that I could not get anything better
Although Im surprised why this phone is not even on top15 on this web site!It is like mini computer! It has everythyng you need:
-5megapix camera
-expandable memory-micro sd(now up to 16Gb but Im sure that 32 Gb (or even more) micro sd will come out soon )also it is faster to load data(mp3,pix,movies etc.) directly on memory card then via any cable
-high resolution 800x480 3.8" screen!there is nothing biger avaliable on market today!
-Build in GPS
-Wi-fi
-3G
-3.5mm audio jack
and many more features ...
I think it deserves better score!

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-12-01 15:33 from nqesi guess you don't know anything regarding video formats, bit rate, rate per sec. 3rd party applications and settings, etc... that is why your having problem to your htc.
well, i guess you don't deserve the phone. :D good luck.
note: in movie house they uses 24 fps.

for all of you moaning about the video
yes the touch HD will play videos at 800x480 if you install coreplayer. the coreplayer uses hardware acceleration which is present in the HD
windows media player does NOT.
install coreplayer.
duh

I have this phone for over 2 weeks. I must say this is my first WinMO. So far I'm VERY happy with all features (even battery will lust for almost 3 day under normal use - phone, SMS, no 3G little wi-fi and lots of bluetooth use.
I have one SERIOUS problem which i need some help. All my previous mobiles when i was calling somebody and i was on call waiting (the other party was already talking to another line) there was a notification that "Your call is on waiting from other party.." or something. This phone DOES not do that. Is there a setting to activate?
Thanks

I am not only thinking, I also reading (better reviews that is). I know this is a WinMo device, but then again it is waaaay incomparable to my PC hardwarewise. It is one thing to open a video file and completely another to be able to watch it. And I have read that the Touch HD is unwatchable in native res in any format. And upscaling is not the idea of HD, is it now?

It is slow.
Tried small video. It skips frames.
Youtube is fine.
Touch interface of iphone is 100 times better than this mobile. You have a press a bit.
Cotact search is slow and irretates.
If you have ever used iphone. Forget about HTC touch HD, you just can't use it.

On second thought, this a really shamefully and atypically "happy" review. Pity.

Alas, this review is a case of too little too late. There've been a couple of good reviews around for a month now. And they raised issues, which this upbeat effort did not manage to quell.
1. What video formats can u actually play?
2. And at what res dropped frames make video unwatchable?
3. How usable is the GPS really?
