No, there is no official upgrade for the HD..
BUT!! ;)
You can unlock it and maybe even upgrade to WinMo 7 in the future.. :)

Mostly recommended:

Two things you have to know about hTC ROMs:

1 - WinMo builds:

- Build 23XXX: Its the latest WinMo build but still under development so you'll encounter lots of bugs which will drive you crazy.. They are improving now though

- Build 21XXX: Its an improved old build but its bug free and i personally recommended it for now.


2 - The 2 Manila versions:

Manila 2.1 is the old TouchFLo interface but yet faster than the new Manila (Sense) 2.5, The reason 2.5 is slower is because it was meant for a better processor like the HD2 so you'll find issues reading and writing SMS.. If you find Manila 2.5 (without hTC Messaging) that is not bad to install..

When i connect my phone to the PC, it shows on my phone 3 choices, "Active Sync, Disk Drive and Internet Sharing"..

Choosing Disk Drive:
On my PC i just go to "My Computer" and i find the drive "Removable Disk".. I can then do what ever i want on my phone's "Storage card" just like on a normal hard disk..

Choosing Active Sync:
On my PC i go to "My Computer" and i find a phone icon there where i can access folders on my "phone memory" and "Storage Card".

Internet Sharing:
To use internet from phone or the other way around. (Never tried it before though)

The mobile has to be connected to the PC thru Activesync or Windows mobile dvice center (for Vista).

can someone, anyone, in very simple terms please tell me how to transfer my pics and videos ive taken with my mobile onto my home computer. ive plugged in the cable and done active sync then when i click on the caption on the computer ...'get pics from camera/scanner' i click on that and it wont let me continue.
Any ideas anyone?

Hi Guys,

Please could you help me to choose between hd or pro 2.

Honestly I like hd2 but there is no available yet in Gulf (UAE). Anybody knows when hd2 will be available in UAE market. I need the phone on or before dec 1.

Just like getting a windows for PC, you can't just use it at it is, you have to install fix updates, winzip, office, antivirus, drivers and lots and lots of things to make it useful..
This phone isn't just a phone, its an experience..

After studing the ratings I bought the Touch HD instead of Blacberry bold. Reason being I moved over from an O2 thinking the transition might be easier.
To date I can not find anything user friendly about the phone.I resent the amount of time needed to be an owner of this phone.From day one I stared to note difficulties until I got so many I got sick of writing. To name a few turn the phone during a call it
hangs up,a great number of calls need to be made twice both in coming an out, very frustrating. Its not for carring in your pocket makes it own calls. Half the time you can not get to answer the phone.
The list goes on, the updated widows is over designed and lost some of its simpler festures and the phone surly can not be that bad but for me its a shoker,
and a real bad investment, What a dreadful mistaka to maka

The best ROM yet that is flawless is HD Sense 2.1 R0 Holy Grail..

Please suggest the best ROM out of these two??
Or if u know any better ROM apart from Dutty's in which Manila 2.5 sense will work smooth and fast.......
