I might return this phone after all. There is no menu for call waiting and 3-way calling! Granted, it does exist, but there is absolutely NO visual confirmation of call status whatsoever. I tried hanging up one party on a 3-way call, and it hanged up both calls altogether. I had c-phones 10 years ago that had this feature on the menu. At this price point, not including this simple feature is totally unacceptable. I saw on the web someone complaining about their older HTC Touch phone not having this call status feature. The comment was dated last year!

Hey ppl who say about it's battery life? Use it wisely winmo has tweaks that you can do or dl to gain battery life. if non does work, buy a freaking bigger mA battery man....! sheeesh!! I'm so happy that i have AT&T they just got it a day a go and i ran to the store bought me one for $299. OHH one more thing, if you live in USA and you want this phone or the BB BOLD witch cost the same in ATT store(299 w/ 2yr contract) just go online (AMAZON.COM) and grab one for $149 if you can hold ur breath for 2-3 days while it ships to ya.

this is the big problem for people who has no idea of using a windows mobile device.... WMobile has lots of tweak and trick... so you better spend sometime and try to learn about your unit. go to a forum and ask help and info there...
example : Battery issue... change the setting of your device to "turn off device if not use for 3 mins." but its not literal, its just a standby. there you can save battery. although the unit can still recieve txts and calls and it will alarm you.
anothere thing is the application you are using... the more complex the application... example "games" the more CPU activity and the more battery is being use. like laptops.
bottom line... just learn.... Windows mobile is not just a standard Cellphone like SE, nokia, IPHONE. its totally different... lots of tweaks, tricks and lots of application.

> In reply to dalethorn @ 2008-11-09 00:28 from jcyGLook let me spell it out for you. IT'S NOT a 0.5MP camera!! Clearly the jpeg algorithm is aggressively trying to achieve a low jpeg file size where it should opt to maintain a certain image quality and go for a larger file size. This means whenever some object of interest is darker that a bright and detailed background object you in deep compost. Sometimes a grassy hill is left looking partly like a pool table. Allowing one to see the DCT blocks.A good compression algorithm should do this much smoother.
A high quality jpeg setting or a raw-mode would make life a lot sweeter. A good picture may take 10 seconds to store. If it's perfect. And let's be honest. Who does not own a 2GB memory card or bigger in his Pro? So image files can be huge.
Wait for a firmware update

With the HTC Pro, I can sort files (pictures for example) by filename or date. But when I sort by date, then scroll through the pictures with the cursor (arrow) keys, the phone always scrolls by filename. Is there a way to get the phone to scroll by the sort scheme, like IrfanView and other software do on a laptop computer? I do not want a slideshow - I want to scroll a few photos, then start at a different place in the list and scroll from there, etc.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-11-08 19:22 from Bw@eWrong. The filesize from the HTC camera is about 600 kb, whereas a typical compact camera 3 mp image is about 3 mb, or five times greater, because the sensor produces 3 mp of actual detail. If you compare the HTC's photos, you can see there is no detail. In other words, you can reduce the 2048 x 1536 image to 640 x 480, then resize up using PhotoZoomPro or Genuine Fractals and see no difference from the original. You can try that with a real camera, and the resize from 640 x 480 to 2048 x 1536 will show a great loss of detail from an original at 2048 x 1536.
