The AT&T Fuze keyboard takes away the very convenient number row to replace it with symbols. They put the numbers back to the "stardard" way on top of the letters on the right side of the keyboard.
I have recently bought this phone from UAE.
I am sure this phone was meant to simplify life by the Windows OS, However, the Menu seems to be difficult to maneuver. The phone heats up after talking for only a couple of minutes and the Battery does not last me even half a day not having used blue tooth, wifi, having made sure all applications are closed when no longer in use. I wonder, if the HTC company meant to give, users of this phone, this kind of service or could there be some manufacturing fault. I have looked at a few websites to see if I could contact the responsible company/persons who could help me and managed to get to site where there were several contacts and their fax and telephone numbers but could not get thru to any fax or telephone answered. Is there someone out there who could help me? I have spent a tidy sum in acquiring this phone and am not happy unless there is something I am not doing right.
Battery life very bad . now I really hate this phone
Does the HTC Touch Pro have a different keyboard then the AT&T Fuze?? At first glance they apprear to be the same phone but something about the keyboard doesn't look the same.
Thanks
Good choice for this phone!
I am getting this phone 2day and wanted to know does this phone have the ability of picture id when someone calls you?
Okay phone, but the D-Pad comes broken. D-pad only works reliably up-down, but 66% of time will end up hitting the one of the other buttons while trying to hit left-right. Even Sony learned from their joystick days.
Either flip out the keyboard if you want real 4-way navigation, or switch to phone that HTC didn't mess up.
al, 12 Nov 2008Please any idea why HTC would not support arabic on Fuze but would do it for HTC pro?Go to XDA-Developers.com and there are instructions on there to get arabic support. Hope this helps

pinniped, 13 Nov 2008Some menu. Clicking the network icon just shows that the speaker phone is on. No call waitin... moreAll i can say is you are not a wm user. tsek tsek tsek... you are just making some story that you are a wm user just so you can fire back.
i always use open line pocket pcs... from univers(qtek9000) to polaris and now touch pro.

smart user, 13 Nov 2008Well can some one explain why a smart phone like HTC pro has to be hard to use? Can some tell ... moreI agree with your post and many similar others, this phone is ridiculously hard to use. It's not my first windows phone but this thing is a mess. menus are difficult and unclear. You never know what to click on to get where you want, no matter what you touch, whether you're trying to zoom in on a web page or selecting a name from your contacts to text, YOU WILL CALL SOMEONE.
If I was a casual user who thrived on fancy features, I could spend the time dragging through menus to find the little morsels of graphics, but I need my phone as much for fun and excitement as I do for constant calling, messaging, and email. As far as that goes...they missed the point.
You can bay a cheaper price mobile phone that it has better than this htc specifications, the toshiba protage 900, amazing screen size 800x460 pixels and it cost about €300.00!
Hey guys had this phone for about a month now and it's awesome. I've done all the tweaks etc to improve TouchFlo performance, and increase speaker sound (or maybe I'm just imagining it's louder). I'm not sure if I stuffed it up in the registry or it just never worked, but I can't hear the tone when I have a call waiting. This feature is activated, turned on on my phone and there is a tone allocated to it which can I can play. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thx, jpflorez_25@hotmail.com
arvin, 12 Nov 2008the menu for call waiting and other network related concerns is located on the signal icon(3g)... moreSome menu. Clicking the network icon just shows that the speaker phone is on. No call waiting menu there, genius. But since you say 3G icon, I assume you're not using the Sprint version.
If you're smart enough to do some research, you might see that this is an issue with this device.
Well can some one explain why a smart phone like HTC pro has to be hard to use? Can some tell me why it does not support other langauges in this global time of history. I am returning the Fuze to ATT because it will not allow me to upgrade the ROM by HTC to support other languages. I think it's an ATT problem.
It's fantastic piece of equipment but I made many errors touching the screen and ending up calling somebody. or end up in a different page. I am going to try the experia X1a which will be released in USA NOv 24 and see if sony patched the language support to be more inclusive. historically they do a greay job like Blackberry and Nokia in supporing almost all languages.
Can anyone tell me, can you use this windows mobile alone to install apps and backup/restore independently, without using big windows 2000/XP/vista!!!
why does at&t have to change the keyboard?? :(
Please any idea why HTC would not support arabic on Fuze but would do it for HTC pro?
pinniped, 12 Nov 2008I might return this phone after all. There is no menu for call waiting and 3-way calling! Gr... morethe menu for call waiting and other network related concerns is located on the signal icon(3g) upper right.
