I have had the TP2 since the day it was released and my hinge feels the same now as it did then. I only use the tilt a couple of times a day for watching videos though. It feels more natural to not tilt when texting.

It has some wobble, but that is normal to me, if you see any laptop you will have this wobble also.
Hope this helps.
Okay wats extrodinary about this phone? I,m considering buying it. Do we have it in S.A yet. It looks sounds great how does it feel and is the price good?
I don't think many people have this phone yet. Not sure if it's been released in India yet. I know it is not readily available in the UK yet.. apart from Vodafone although they had no models in stock yet. Very new on the market. Still waiting to find out how strong the tilting hinge is as I have heard reports on youtube that it is very weak. Yet to hear different. It's going to be used on a daily basis for two to three years so needs to be up to the job. Only thing putting me off at the moment.
I've heard business users have issues with the new Iphone 3G - only one application can be open at a time - meaning if you get a call and you are in the middle of looking at email, your email will close down, same with GPS etc. Very good potential just a little restrictive at the moment.
Does anyone here own a Touch Pro 2? How strong do you find the tilting hinge - is it solid and robust? It's the only thing holding me back.
Pro, 13 Jul 2009As I am always saying these are too different phones, HTC is meant for business and professio... morethanks for the help, but if we put normal or professional usin beside,is there somethin special which needs to be considered about any of these two? i mean like if theres somethin inconvenient with one which i have to consider b4 purchasin?
are users havin more problems with Iphone 3G or HTC pro 2? and i mean on the whole :)
Leili, 12 Jul 2009heyy... i was comparin HTC PRO 2 with Iphone 3G.. i wanna buy one of them but cant decide whic... moreAs I am always saying these are too different phones, HTC is meant for business and professional and power users, it is not for everyone. Iphone is for normal users who need more fun and gaming experience. You can have some fun also with HTC but not the same way as iphone. The iphone interface is much better than iphone. It depends on your style to choose. This is the second HTC phone after the original Pro.
Hope this helps.
I'd also be interested to know how strong the tilting hinge is? Has anyone had any problems with it - I mean does it look as though it can easily last two or three years of daily use? Some people have reported "gaps" too when it is closed, between the keyboard and the screen on top - is this common?
Guys if you like Japanese phones, I have great news for you!!! Nec and Sharp will enter in the European markets!!! Here is the source!!!http://www.intomobile.com/2009...f-japan.html
Anonymous, 10 Jul 2009Does HTC PRO 2 has auto flash?sad to say touchpro2 got no flash for camera. if you are after the camera quality...i suppose touchpro2 is not meant for you. the gps locked is darn fast as compare to my touch pro....welll i simply love this phone due to its screen...
heyy... i was comparin HTC PRO 2 with Iphone 3G.. i wanna buy one of them but cant decide which one to choose.. i was hopin that maybe somebody could help me with this problem..
How far would you go tilting the phone.....again it depends on how you use the phone. Use it like a professionnal
How strong is the tilting hinge? This is the only real thing putting me off buying this handset as the demo model I played with in the shop was so flimsy and loose (although it was just a demo and hundreds of people had handled it it did make me think twice about whether a new phone would eventually end up like this and then I read a few reviews and people had reported the hinge being a weak point) - other demo models of other makes with sliding keyboards were absolutely fine but not this one. How true is this? Any reported issues? Thank you for any help and info.
