Fanny, 30 Mar 2012Yeah. Lots of discontinued phones on the top which is only natural, I guess.
Many old phones ... moreyes. many phones from '09 strangely appearing on the top as "still available"...
this phone deserves to be on the top chart: it's multifunctional, complete, fun and reliable.
great all rounder phone.
Len, 29 Mar 2012I see many users and lots of fans here. =)
+ 1!
How come with this score (8.4-8.4-8.4) this ... moreYeah. Lots of discontinued phones on the top which is only natural, I guess.
Many old phones have gained cult status and this is one of those.
C'mon guys, get it on the top where it deserves to be.
Old phones can be great phones!!!
I see many users and lots of fans here. =)
+ 1!
How come with this score (8.4-8.4-8.4) this phone isn't on the Top Chart???
Stylish, strong and weather-proof.
A Timeless Classic!
What a brilliant phone this is!
Way ahead of its time: the keyboard lights up when in dark environments; it has got flash/light both for videos and photos.
The TYTN even has video calling and mine is currently running WM 6.5 (stock Rom) without lagging.
Very pleased, as I have a perfectly operational phone and I'm not missing anything essential.
levis, 21 Mar 2012how is this fon compared to tytn iiThe "Slide and tilt construction" of its keyboard makes it flimsy and fragile.
I much prefer the original: no GPS, but NO LAG and very solid construction.
The TYTN is REALLY a phone built to last!
levis, 21 Mar 2012how is this fon compared to tytn iiIn my opinion, it is pretty much the same.
The TYTN 2 is newer and it allows you to tilkt your screen more comfortably, placiing your screen and its keyboard as if you were typing in a tiny laptop.
I have used a TYTN2 for a VERY short period of time and I haven't noticed any significant differences...
Personally, I am used to my TYTN and I still recommend it as a GREAT phone!
I would almost go as far as saying that, compared to today's phones, tge TYTN is is virtually... Indestructible!
how is this fon compared to tytn ii
Great phone. Still performing withut faults.
I only wish it had a GPS antenna...
This way, I've had to get me a BT one...
How come this phone gets this score and isn't on the Top Chart?
Many other discontinued phones are there.
Why isn't the TYTN where it its rightful place?
The TYTN may be getting old, but it still works... full steam ahead.
WM 6.5 fully operational.
Advisable to get an extra battery, though.
Its battery seems to be this phone's weakest link, but there are still plenty of batteries available and they're not all that expensive.
I also recommend this phone!
The true TYT(A)N of ALL phones.
They don't build them like this anymore and that's a shame!!!
Strong, resistant, with all the gadgets you may wish for.
Get it a BlueTooth antenna and you've even got a GPS device at your service.
Hot-Swappable memory card; iluminated keyboard (with sensor); camera with flash; full keyboard AND touchscreen... this phone was built ahead of its time and it still works just fine.
Highly Recommended!
How are votes counted?
The Xperia Play and the HTC TYTN (both 3X8.4) are behind this phone (8.4 - 8.4 - 8.3).
Actually, with the same score the HTC Diamond2 isn't even on this chart.
And with a higher score the TYTN does not seem to even exist! Why?
Even older models keep appearing here which is great to realise how valuable and relevant they still are.
A Top List of mobile phones shouldn't be the result of all users' opinions and not being limited to release dates, as to present only the latest models on the market.
Anyway,if that is the case - which would be seriously WRONG and unethical - we should be informed and voting on "out of contest" phones should not be allowed as it currently is.
Everyone can vote on the phone they own, like it or hate it. That's democracy, that's the beauty of this chart; We can all have a saying without censorship!
Is that about to end?
Is this chart only important to showcase new models and earn advertising money to the site?
If it's so, at least be honest with it and speak openly, as we are the one who've created your fame and reputation worldwide.
It's got to be... PERFECT!
Those were the days... when phones were built to last!
Fab phone!
We've got a true 'Jack-of-all-trades' here!!!
Glad to see mine is not the only HTC TYTN still in use. =)
Great, sturdy phone. You can really go places with it, as it will never let you down as most modern fragile phones will.
I wonder how many TYTNs keep on working.
Mine is still my only phone. I had to replace the battery but other than that, it keeps on working flawlessly.
Not interested in updating to current models which seem to flooding the market on a daily basis just be outdated right after their launch.
Really happy with my phone, so far... and using my hard earned money for more useful things! =)
Built to last.
The last of the solid-built quality phones.
At the time,it really had all you could ask for.
Today, you'll need a separate BT GPS antenna, that's all.
Take it anywhere, use it anyway. It will work for you under the worst conditions.
OWNER, 26 Jan 2012I have one of these, very nice device. I got WM 6.5 on it and works with no lag at all. Wi-Fi ... moreMy best phone ever. Really complete.
Too bad manufacturers keep dropping quality standards.
A timeless classic.
I only wish most phones still had all the features of a TYTN, taking adavantage of today's technology.
Phones would be much better and user-friendly if they followed the TYTN's example!
