There are several programmes to improve recording on mobile phones.

Try to download the user manual here:

http://www.nodevice.com/user_m...tc_tytn.html

Anyway, google DOES work.

Try to 'google' the questions and you'll find out it will work out better and faster!

How does it record a conversation?
- Can you record conversations while on a call with or without bluetooth headset?
- Will the user on the other side of the phone would know if their conversation is recorded?
- I need to download user guide for this phone anyone know the link?

Thank you.

Mine has only made one phone call since Sunday, but I charged it Saturday night and AT THIS MOMENT (monday night), it still indicates 70% battery charge.

My first impression is that you've got a faulty model and that there is something wrong DIScharging the phone's battery so very quickly.
Have you got the time and patience to check it out and try to fix it?

I still have the original battery but as it is a discontinued model, I've purchased another which I haven't used, until now as the original keeps working fine.

I admit most phones do tend to drain their batteries VERY quickly, but the TYTN's battery is 1300mAh. The Diamond2's is 1100mAh and the phone has a larger screen, integrated GPS, etc.

So, beware: before picking a phone, ANY phone, try to verify the battery's capacity (in mAh) and compare it to the phone's specifications.

Better Luck next time.

got this phone two years ago and just gave up on it. the battery would run dry before end of a day even with the device in sleep mode. got a new battery after trying all the tricks to get it going, same story. Kaiser tweak did not help, rom update did not help and i just got tired of searching and spending on a device that gave nothing close to battery performance as the spec's suggested.
i am now even afraid to buy another high end htc unit for fear of having the same thing happen again.

This is the best phone I've always had.

That's why I still keep it and use it daily.
All the features you may need... on a truly reliable. Not a problem so far!
It truly stands the test of time.

It is worth every vote it gets, so why isn't it on the "Top 15"?

Can't "discontinued" bands be on a Top Chart?
Do Music charts censor or block out bands whicha are no more?

It's really unfair to keep a phone out of the Top simply because it has been discontinued.
Then, this top won't show readres' opinions on their phones, but it will serve as an ad to new models.~

I refuse to believe GSM ARENA's Top is being used as a showcase to sell new models!

> In reply to tamal @ 2010-03-03 21:17 from TL5j - click to readBe aware this is the TYTN's Forum, so opinions will surely be biased.

I myself own a TYTN and I like it a lot.

I have a separated GPS Receiver, so I get GPS via bluetooth without any problem; I have a great keyboard, WiFi, camera with flash, Infra Red connection...
So, Actually...
I don't miss anything, but IT IS a discontinued model.
That means, I wouldn't be able to buy a new one... now!
If you're buying a second hand model, make sure it is in good shape: verify touch screen, connectivity... everything.
Better safe than sorry!

Anyway, there are plenty of new models who will probably satisfy your needs and still be available on the market.

Choose wisely & Good Luck! :)

Yes, this is not reflected on the top 10 because this phone is already a discontinued model. So please stop nagging/flooding this forum about why its not on the top ten. You're not helping those who really need help.

> In reply to Quesi @ 2010-03-02 10:30 from ftEc - click to readNo problem.

If you have "Windows Mobile Device Center", just connect your mobile phone to the pc WHILE the pc is connected to the net.

Then go to your phone's browser and you'll see you can simultaneously surf the web on your phone, too.

All this happens while you're phone's physically connected via-usb!

I also like the HTC TYTN a lot!

It's my everyday phone. I get to do everything with it.
I don't miss a thing compared with current windows mobile-based phones!

So,I've voted for it and I think it's really unfair to put it out of the Top.

I believe it is an up-to-date, contemporary phone which is full of potential!

Is it because it is a discontinued model?
Please, explain.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-02-19 01:47 from pXLi - click to readI believe we should write to info@gsmarena.com and politely ask them to correct (and explain) their Top Chart.

It is indeed unfair and sad to see the TYTN out of the Chart when it has a much better score than most of the phones in it (8.6 - 8.6 - 8.6) and it fully deserves it, despite not being a "novelty".

It is still a great phone and if newer models had evolved and developed accordingly, we would have MUCH better phones nowadays.

Why does the TYTN have 3X 8.6 as score and it is out of the Top Chart?

Th first phone to Score 3x 8.6 is the Samsung I8000 Omnia II and it's on Position no 5!!!

It is simply NOT FAIR!

Please, verify what I am telling you as it is the absolute truth.
