Sorry Paulo, my comments apply to HTC TyTN II (which is what I have). They may not apply to the first version HTC TyTN.

Paulo - to get GPS working first you have to run the QuickGPS application and download the satellite data. I have setup mine to download via ActiveSync ie every time it docks. Then your GPS will work e.g. install and use Google Maps and select "Use GPS".

I had TyTN since almost a year.
Excellent phone. It has now become a part of my life.
I am recently experiencing some kind of problem with the screen. It goes completely blank sometimes. I can't do anything to get it back. I reset the phone, pulled the batteries out... nothing works.
Anybody here have any idea asto what's going on? anybody had any experience like this?

Hi,
I bought my TyTN II a couple of days back. However, it does not have the WorldCard Mobile installed application on it. I tried restoring the factory settings, but still couldn't manage to get it.
Have also checked the CD/DVD's shipped in the box, but none seem to have the software on it.
Any clues from anyone ??

I can use my TyTN one handed.The software is widely available to achieve this.I agree the Safari browser is great,the standard internet explorer is rubbish.Try Netfront 3.3 for windows mobile (really a tremendous browser)I\'m not sure why but netfront on my old n70 only had half the features of this version

This is realy a great phone,been busy using it all day, still a bit difficult for me since im so used to my Symbian s60v3 Nokia N80. Its a shame the screen quality is so poor on the TyTN, but otherwise im enjoying it especialy the Web Browsing, its nearly on par with N80, but still feel Nokia Safari Browser is better. The TyTN is HUGE but realy lite weight and not bad at all. What i will say is i dont recommend this if you like one-handed use smartphones.

pros;
- wifi
- qwerty keypad
- 3G
- touch screen
- big screen
- office mobile
cons;
- bulky and heavy
- other line cant hear u well when using speaker
- music files arent that loud when using headphones and also the qaulity of the sound can be better
- ALL microsoft operating systems used today is garbage
- picture and video qaulity isnt the best
- cant custom ur own text message or alarm ring
- i have other problems with this phone but i think its my OS (frikkin microsoft)
bottom line, this phone is good if ur a business person that needs office mobile, or if u make a lot of appointments or even an average person that wants a lot of features in a phone (like me) i give it a 6.5 out of 10
