This is looking like a "FAN's Forum", but the TYTN does deserve it!
Also very happy with mine. Not even considering changing. Why should I?

Regards.

I agree.

This one's a classic, a must!

Great audio, great multimedia phone.
It was the best in its time and after all these years it still remains a great multi-purpose mobile phone.

I've voted for it and I sure hope it tops our chart! :)

A bit bulky, but a grrrrreat multimedia/multi-purpose phone.

The TYTN actually stands the test of time.

'Loving It! ;)

Great phone: Photos with flah / Video Call / Memory cards up to 16GB / Great audio quality / Bluetooth / Infrared / WiFi / Keyboard and...

a battery that beats most of today's newer models!

Letdown? You need to buy a separate GPS receiver, which will be easy to use, but it will still force you to take phone AND GPS receiver whenever you wat to use it.

Otherwise, a great phone that I do NOT wish to swap for any of today's models.

* yet ;) *
(Who knows what tomorrow may bring...)

> In reply to Anonymous @ from HHHH - click to readYou may purchase it straight from HTC's site or google for a suitable (cheaper?) battery.

Most large shops have them on sale.

The official HTC battery is Model Ba S100. It actually says "HTC TyTN Battery" on the package.

Anyway, if you find a suitable battery elsewhere, make sure its rating is: 3.7 VDC ---1350 mAh

Good Luck!

I think this is one of the best PDA/PPC phones, ever!

Let's get those votes in and put it right back where it deserves!

Best wishes:

A TYTN fan

I also believe that with so many people still using the TYTN, it deserved to be in the TOP of "our" GSM ARENA!

It's got all it takes to be a classic!

> In reply to Quesi @ 2010-01-27 14:01 from ftEc - click to readNo. Only a green light on the left (get/make call) symbol and a red one on the rifght phone symbol (hang up).

There are no other lights on the keys.

I use my tytn intensively and I also agree it's still up-to-date, specially if you own a separate gps receiver ehich you can use with any other phone.

I also noticed this phone's ratings and I agree that it should be in the top 15 by its full right.
Considering scores and number of votes it could never be out of the top 15.

Why does this happen?
Maybe there is a reasonable, logical explanation.
I look forward to hearing from the webmasters.

Regards.

It's really unfair.
Witrh these scores, the HTC TYTN should be in the TOP by its own right-
What has happened?
What were the criteria?

I appeal to the Administrators to correct this injustice!
Thnk you all.

Question:

Why is this phone out of the Top Chart?

Its scores (8.5 - 8.6 - 8.5) and the number of votes (7363) should grant it a place AT LEAST in the 13th or 14th position.

Is it because it's a not-so-recent model?

I would really like to know why it's ou of the chart.
Of course, I own and I like this phone, so I notice this.

But, above all, I consider it unfair.
The GSM Arena chart should be unbiased and rigorous!

There are several major software houses with Radio streaming programmes such as SPB Radio.

(no advertising intended, it's just a software I know that works)

Try to google it to find your favourite software.

Thanks guys

The HTC TYTN supports 8 and 16 GB card without any problem.

You may choose the size that better suits you without worries.

I have a 8 GB card on mine and it works just fine!

It was immediately recognised and it's currently packed with GPS Software, Apps and Games, still showing about 3gb free.
