Doubtful.I've used an n95 and it wasn't very fast at all!Qualcomm have a better reputation than Texas Instruments but I guess the proof will be in the pudding.Quite frankly I would never waste my hard earned cash on a s60 with a large screen so over to you....

PJOX, you are wrong!! Dual processor as applied to the E90 means that there are two processors, each of which is running at 332MHz. The Nokia RAP processor that handles the voice stack is a separate issue. If you peruse the link you gave you will find Nokia E50 and N73. They both have the same TI OMAP 1710 processor and both have the additional RAP but the N73 has a dual processor whereas the E50 has a single one. Correlate what I have said with forum Nokia! To conclude I must state that E90's dual processor would be more than a match for the TyTN's Qualcomm!!

I've had several Nokia's and I can assure you they are not what some would have you believe. The Nokia marketing machine is like no other and users overstate the product. This guy here is trying to say a journalist would be better using an e90 than a htc kaiser!!..bizarre...so a journalist wouldn't like touchscreen?easy access to pc hard drives(try this with s60 and you will find drag and drop is about as far as will get) their's heaps more but hey I've just remembered why I don't use sites like this anymore.

Isn't the E90's 332MHz CPU single and the second CPU is not the same 332MHz but is the Nokia RAP processor that handles the voice stack. This is why when an application freezes or locks up,you can always go to the standby screen and place a call no matter what happens to the main processor...Typical nokia style!

Hold on Sw8x! The information you have given is incorrect and biased! Nokia E90 has a DUAL processor running at 332MHz. One microprocessor runs the Symbian system, the other telephony. The Qualcomm is only a SINGLE processor and WM6 OS is more processor hungry, so it will not perform as well as Nokia's. Furthermore the E90 has a 3D HW Graphics Accelerator that is the best in mobile phones at present. It also has a superior keyboard to the HTC- important if you write short notes and messages often eg journalism. It is obvious that the preferred device depends on your profession. It is true that HTC does more but if you do not use the extra features you may as well buy the device that satisfies your needs. My friend has an E90 . I will try the HTC. We will compare and contrast.

Their's a little more than that. The TyTN II has excellent control peripherals(touchscreen, slide out keyboard, directional pad,jog/scroll wheel)E90 is rather disappointing in this area.TyTN II has a better cpu-qualcomm 400mhz ARM 11 with video accelerator whereas the e90 is powered by a texas instruments 330mhz ARM 10.Yes the TyTN II needs the better cpu as it's running a more complete os.The nmea 0183 20 channels GPS chipset on the TyTN II is of a higher standard. The e90 weighs more, costs more and does less but I'm sure if you pop over to the e90 opinions section they will tell you it's the best device in the world!

They both possess an impressive array of features. The major difference is the Operating System!Oh and remember the e90 dosen't have the option of using a touchsreen.

Come on Bob,
What a silly question? The Tytn can take you to moon and back! As for hiding text messages ( from girl friends so that the wife cannot see) this is simple.Go to google and browse for softwares for that.Bob,

I am holding off on buying the Nokia E90 to get the TyTN II when it is finally released where I am at but I am wondering if someone could tell me whether this phone or the E90 has the ability to assign a particular notification for when a certain number calls or texts and would it also be possible to hide texts that come from certain callers so they would not appear with other text messages?

Thanks

We DO have it our way. That's why TyTN II is colored with 3M cam. What is needed is for you to look for another brand based only on colors. HTC is not known for gimmicky.

VGA res is definately a plus. Smaller companies are coming out with it as a selling point. Surely HTC will include it in their future roadmap. I've seen problem with software running in VGA devices. Only make sense for HTC to wait it out or they will be getting a call everytime someone bought a new piece of software.

There are already lots of reviews where the reviewer have "plenty" of PDA to compare to. How well your "so call" extensive review be is very questionable.

"You may well be right: E90 architecture with WM6 OS could be a splendid combination!"

I totally agree.

Barry and kNg1 if you two had your way we would be using greyscale with a VGA camera on the TyTN II !! What is needed is quality and refinement. An upgrade to VGA res coupled with 262144 colours would be simply stunning and would clarify charts, tables, text and graphs. HTC are well capable of doing this but they couldn't be bothered because it is EASIER to make a lower spec phone!! Increasing the battery capacity and the processor speed to cater for a higher spec screen is not a problem to them. if you don't ask you won't receive!!
PJOX, I will buy the TyTN II later this month and run some extensive tests. You may well be right: E90 architecture with WM6 OS could be a splendid combination!
