To CASS and Rokkker,
Yes, this phone is known by many names. Here they all are:
HTC TyTN II
Hey by the way, where has go the P4550, I was looking for it today, and I can't find it, in it's place I found this machine, what could this mean, is this the P4550 whit another name whit the same specifications?, just a change of look and name?, righ it looks better now, but...
It's the same???????
I think luis makes sense...it is important that a phone should be analysed before its bought...
The TyTN II is definately a better HTC touch...
1. 400Mhz Vs 200Mhz
2. 3.15MP Vs 2MP (non autofocus)
3. HSDPA Vs 2G
4. 128MB RAM Vs 64MB RAM
5. GPS Vs GPRS (lol)
Also rightly pointed out tht the resolutions in screens ranging from 2" to 3.5" are given the QVGA resolution which doesnt make sense...if the screen size increases so should the resolution!
Well enough said,if ne of u guys need any help feel free to get in touch....Ali
BigSam, you were wrong about the launch in Dubai at about the first or second week of August. It's still not here. Let's hope you're wrong about the price. 900 USD is a bit too steep for the kid...
does anyone know when it will be launched? within this week im gonna get the Zinc but i had been waiting for this phone to be launched................if its launched, ill get this no matter how much it is >
The only competitor this phone has is the (hopefully) upcoming Eten glofiish M900. It will have the better resolution screen and FM radio that everyone seems to be whining about. (Most of these whiners couldn't afford these phones anyway...) I am looking forward to getting one or the other, probably the first that is readily available. (hint, hint, AT&T). Apparently, they are getting the phone and calling it the AT&T 8925, upgrade to the Cingular 8525. Hopefullly, they won't butcher it the way they did the original TyTN.
I want to know if this version of WinMobil6 can handle 100% (view/create/ edit) the Office dcuments.?
In addition, how can I obtain one phone to test it under the commincations and telephony supply conditions of Central America. I live in Csota Rica and NO ONE / NOBODY is representing H.T.C. What a shame.!
I would like to know from the people who have experienced with HTC phone...how is the phone like compare to many other phone ?
I will like to debate if possible about the GPS receiver on board the HTC TyTN II. So far I heard that the chipset SiRF III is the best because you don't need to have a data account on your mobile to have the realtime navigation when with the TyTN II, it will be a bit like the N95, you will need a constant internet connection for your mobile in order to use the GPS which is a bit rubbish i think... Well nobody is perfect and i still like the phone but what do you think guys? Cos I know loads of people talking rubbish out there and here could be the place to find a right answer?
man overall specs perfect if you ask me..but man this thing is a brick..hope it weighs less than the 190grams..when specs are conf'd
this looks sick, only thing i can complain about is the memory card slot and thats saying alot, this paired with the htc shift would be the ultimate, anybody know when its coming out, price, and if its a2dp capable?
To jB4@(xOrangeDementedFirex). Firstly do not try and bully or intimidate me off this forum. I am free to state my misgivings on a phone. This forum is not for your private use. You are extremely rude. Learn some manners. Secondly the difference between VGA and QVGA is not infinitesimally small. VGA is four times the res and this makes alot of difference. More detail is seen: charts and tables are clearer. Eten and i-mate are not foolish for adopting VGA screens. It is the future of high end devices. Thirdly, a businessman does not work in isolation. He needs to listen to the business news. So a radio is important. Fourthly you do not understand the revolution. It is all about convergence. Business and pleasure on the SAME device. You cannot work if you don't rest. Substandard camcording just irritates. It is better to leave it out completely than to force the customer to pay for a lousy feature. Fifthly if you think processor speed is not important then you need to go and get your head tested. Continue to worship HTC but I will continue to speak straight and true.
