Hay can anyone tell me if this phone is good for mxit and suitable for a teenager?

Next time install a program call "Nimbuzz". You can backup your contact there and restore it if they were accidently deleted.

i currently use a HTC TyTH II and for some weird reasons i lost all my contacts. does anyone know anyway that i can retrieve them back?

If you just want to get latitude, longitude or altitude, "GPS viewer" will do. If you need navigation, then download Garmin Mobile XT and you will never be lost on the road again. I am fully satsified with Garmin and GPS on TytnII. Cant live without it. downloading Garmin is not an easy task. There 3 components to dload. The program, the mapsource, and the maps.

Talking about GPS, it takes sometime especially when you first started it. Always download satellite dbase using "QuickGPS". Also download "GPS viewer", its free.
Just select COM4, 4800 Baud and "Open GPS" and "Cold Start". Put phone on car dashboard. In less than 3 menutes, you should get many satellites detected.

i had this unit but it got signal droped,signal shows in the screen but cannot make calls.

Just bought the phone & none of my gps apps are able to locate the built-in gps. I am on original Win 6.1 & I tried Google Maps, iGO, & Garmin.

What is the issue ?

This phone is simply one of the most functional and feature rich phones Ive ever used.

The hardware is very good and it works well with Win 6.1. All-round winner... My contract trade-in period is almost here and I simply can't see what other phone i'd want for the time being...
