i have had this phone for about 3 weeks now.only thing i don't like is the battery life is very weak on edge but it might be a bad battery.
camera 3 mega pixel and zoom is very nice.
right now i'm in the airport atl ,u.s on at&t 3g network. using my phone as internet sharing.its simple one click aaway with ubs.
the speed is so strong and powerful.running at dsl speed almost.

I had been using a jasjar with it's fabulous LCD.Yes it's true HR screens are capable to show more information which is helpful when using a browser or working with office documents, excel for example but at the end of the day the TyTN II preforms extremely well,no lag no freeze ups, unlike the toshiba's etc.I think HTC were correct not to incorporate a VGA screen in this unit.

At first I thought that HTC were holding back but on deeper thought it is clear that HTC are sitting on the fence because they are uncertain whether they can attain smooth and reliable operation of the device if they implement VGA res and 262144 colour palette. The Qualcomm processor and the battery capacity would not be enough. Nevertheless Gigabyte, I-mate, Eten and Toshiba have all taken that step. The VGA res quest on 2.6-3.5 inch screen is laudable. Vivid VGA res inspires one to work harder because of the excellent visual feedback. Afterall we are human; we have emotions. We react to quality visual stimuli. HTC should not sit on the fence too long...they may fall off!!!

Oklahoma city. I called around and I got the same answer like you. however my friend is an authorized dealer for AT&T.
when I called the AT&T stores they told me yes they did receive them and already sold out. I suggest you go in person and find out for yourself.

well my friend at AT&T called me. they have my 8925 charging and ready in 2 hours. it's for $500 without contract. the nice thing about AT&T is the support in case of malfunction and the 30 days return policy. I will play with phone over the weekend and let you know.

Their's several members at http://www.xda-developers.com that own the TyTN II.MSome of those guys work in the industry and know just about all their is to know.Having read through several topics the GPS appears to function very well however there does seem to be a problem using a bluetooth headst but overall this device seems to be right on the money

could you please test whether its GPS has the following problem associated with some WM devices: "Anyone using a WM device for GPS in their car now has to either remember to press a key every few minutes, or enter a 8 digit + password every 20 minutes" (ie WM not treating GPS as user activity)
Is this true :(

1. Kaiser can act as FAX modem.
2. You must have CSD Service activated on your SIM card first in order to recieve FAX/ DATA CALL on your handset.
3. CSD (DATA CALL) / FAX service may not be available in you area or from your preferred GSM carrier. Please contact you GSM carrier Data Support for information regarding activation of CSD (DATA CALL)/ FAX services on your SIM card.
4. _ALL_ HTC handsets released to date have CSD capabilities.

If you buy this phone unlocked then you have two choices in service providers for USA owners.
1. T-mobile- has no 3G at the moment. Lagging in tech. May lose alot of customers who are tech savy and want the high speed communication services.
2. At&t $299 with contract this October!!>>> Best Value!!!!!!!!! And you can take advantage of their 3G in some major cities. Note: This phone will be sold as the Tilt for att.
I wish this phone had VGA. I dont know if I should go with this phone or the E-ten X800 which has everything this phone has minus the keypad but has VGA. I heard the E-ten M900 will fill in this gap and have both VGA and Keyboard!! But How long will this take to get to market? HTC also has more experience in PPC manufacturing so reliability is possibly Higher for the Tytn 2.
Dont forget to pick up your new micro sd 8gb card in the first quarter of next year! YA!
Convergence is almost here! All we need now is the Texas Instruments' cellphone projector (Google it)!!!!
