TyTN II has a fair bit over TyTN-GPS(gps chipset that really works!)HSDPA,HSUPA,far better CPU(can't wait for driver problem to be corrected)3x RAM available to user, handles mem cards up 32GIG etc etc etc
Im doing a follow up to this device which i had for 2 1/2 months now...Its a masterpiece...my dad has the at&t 8125 and my bro has the 8525(aka tytn I) and i have Kaiser(8925/tytn II) I compared with all 3. there all the same with few exceptions to each one. for the most part. the Tytn II has windows 6 for OS and the previous models are 5.0 Tytn II can tilt hence At&t tilt. The bad and only bad part about TYTN II is that when you slide back and forth...the screen takes longer to adjust compared to TYTN I and 8125. IT takes 2-3 seconds for screen adjustment and the previous models are 1 sec or even less. This has more ram and more storage but all features are the same. THis is a masterpiece. i got this phone for 100 dollars compared to 600 because of 2 yr contract with 50% and 150 dollar mail in rebate which comes down to 100 dollars...Stylus is a wow because i let people find the stylus on the phone and they cant because it blends perfectly with the phone which is a plus. Im a nursing student and i have epocrates and drug books in this device and guess what... no slowdown..load time takes between 2-5 secodns which is normal...depending on the amount of things you have on your phone(dont forget to delete messages because it builds up) ive dropped this phone 2 times already but amazingly...no scratches and no slowdown or anything messed up. this device is like a tank...If you want a laptop but smaller and easily to take around, this is the device everyone has been waiting for... you can edit on word, excel and powerpoint. I do notes on my device and i dont need to bring my books to school because i have everything in this device...its helpful to have a micro sdh card...(i got the 6bg for $75) any questions..reply to me here...ill keep you guys updated in the future...hope my review was good enough for you to pick this device...i LOVE IT
the hard reset worked. no more problem. ;-) must be sumthing I downloaded that messed around. bout the gprs issue, I know that if u setu an external e-mail acc, u need to sElect the option to look for e-mails manually. otherwise it can connect every to hours.
if you are looking for a REAL strong mobile. You found it. N95 is a joke compared to this masterpiece. this is realy the Kaiser of all mobiles. not cheap, but a real tool for business people.

Dear NaBG,
There are some programs getting information from internet, such as the weather application. When you disconnect the GPRS these programs can activate GPRS again.
Below you can find a program that disconnects all the unwanted internet connection...

Super cool fone, It's the best around. And it hasent given me problems The people who has problems with the fone, It's not the fone its u!!!!!!! Read the f manual!!!
Again, I wanna post my comment regarding this phone... So far, I am deeply satisfy with this phone... Basically, anything I look for in a cell phone, is provided in HTC TYTN II... Therefore, I deeply suggest for people who need a complete mobile phone to get this phone...
By the way, I have a question regarding the GPRS... After I use the GPRS, I directly disconnect the GPRS... However, it's often, the phone connect itself the GPRS... Do you have any idea, how to avoid this kinda problem, because it costs me alot...
Thanks for your info...
indeed a small palmtop, first time I can use a pda to replace my laptop on small business trips
Got this phone for a month already and tested in detail. Pros: software stability, ability to change today screen at will, large keyboard, the GPS antenna incorporated, HSDPA, all possible connectivity, possibility to install ANY WM6 compatible software (including navigation packs). CONS: quite bulky, battery life pretty short if you forget data connection and/or bluetooth on or if you use the phone for browsing or wireless access. BTW, where can I find a larger battery? Otherwise got eveything in - is actually a small palmtop with a phone "attachment" :)
Hi Willem, you can currently download the SA maps from www.tomtom.com for R540 (50% off). The help desk says that when you buy the maps you can download navigator 6 using the the tomtom HOME application. I'm still waiting for my phone (Vodacom hasn't had stock since Nov..aagghhh)
for all info in SA about HTC go to www.leaf.co.za
I have had this phone for about 2 months now and I love it. I had the Prada phone before and I hated texting on that. This phone has it all. It has touch screen and a whole key pad!
I use this phone 4 months now, absolute top device much better than any other pda on the market.
